I know why you’re wearing jeans that you have to keep pulling up for this video! Anyway, I stumbled across you looking just like me 20 years ago. Same hair, same clothing. I’ve gained 50# in the last several years and tried every diet you can name to no avail. I decided NOT to diet again but to eat what you and your family are eating. I lost SEVEN pounds this week! I had to keep stepping on and off the scale, then tried the scales in a different bathroom. Yep…seven pounds. I’m also walking on my treadmill and lifting some weights so I’m feeling great. I plan to finish all of your videos and then check out your website. So excited to find something that is finally working!

A tip I got for oatmeal is adding the banana slices while your oats are cooking - I do cook them on the stove though - it takes just 7 minutes - but when you cook the banana slices they just get caramelized and soft and melt into the oatmeal. Thanks the only way I do it now.

I’m wondering if you are keeping your ground flax in the refrigerator,I’ve read that it is important to do. I can’t remember the exact reason so you might need to research it. Thanks again for a super fun video 💕

Love what you had to say about oats. I have found I love doing a 50/50 mix of instant and wholegrain oats. The texture is best for me, and I can do them savoury or sweet.......plus they cook in 5 mins ish. I love adding mashed banana to sweet porridge, that way I don't tend to need to add any additional sweetener, because I don't have too sweet of a tooth. Loved this video. 💜

I cook my steel cut oats in my Instant Pot and then put them in an 11x13 dish and cut into 8 servings. Then in the morning, I add them to my banana, blueberries and cinnamon and micro for 60 seconds. 2 cups steel cut oats, 5 cups water, 4 minutes IP, natural pressure release. Also, sprouts are a really good thing to curb hunger. Ones that your grow yourself for pennies...local, organic, sustainable, so easy!!

Thank you for this! I noticed that when I eat rolled oats I get an upset stomach, but steel cut oats are fine. This is very useful info, will save me a lot of cooking time each day!! 🙏

Thanks for another good video. You are absolutely right; canned veg and beans are just fine. I use them. However, instant pot beans take barely more effort for 100X more flavor. My outlook is different after raising a big family on a tiny budget. Canned beans were out of reach with my budget, but dry beans were not. I always enjoyed cooking but also learned a different mindset about work in general. I learned to love what must be done. Now, I don't only enjoy cooking, but I also relish the time spent creating amazing, health-giving, plant-exclusive food. Anyway, thanks again for another interesting and fun video--with Tacos no less. I love your funny sense of humor. Ya, my pants don't stay up either. Tiny veggie girls, unite!!

My husband can always tell when I use canned beans versus ones I cooked in my crockpot and froze. He says they taste more fresh. I use both though.

I am so with ya! I resisted getting an IP for so long, it just seemed like another appliance to find a place for in a small kitchen. Now it has become my kitchen, I use it multiple times daily! So great for batch cooking beans and grains and saves a ton of cash! No matter how pressed for time, you can take a few minutes to just dump in whatever veggies, herbs, spices, rice, pasta, whatever, add some broth, and go about your business! It will cook it and keep it warm until you're ready to eat and every batch is a new adventure! For me it isn't the speed but the hands-off freedom. I don't mind preparing meals, but I hate all the fussy steps and being chained to the stove!

That’s the thing…you DON’T eat differently in weight maintenance! That’s why it’s SO important to make this way of eating a lifestyle change. There may be a few things you can add but don’t count on adding back a lot of things otherwise the weight will return.
