great video for someone like me and at my age, 70yrs old. I am a new beginner to this stuff and the extremely simple things I have done, I have so enjoyed. Again thank you for your video.

Also have the sk and love it! I only use the bph pens though so I can make my own tips and use any on the market. Im scared of buying a solid tip pen and wishing it was tweaked a little.

I have a basic Peter Childs pyro unit, which I'm learning with. When I get really proficient with it, I'll likely opt for a TRUart as a step up. I'm currently ⅔rds into creating a wattle&daub building which is being filmed by a UK TV channel. You've inspired me to use pyrography on the exposed structural timbers and doors. Who knows where this will lead to? Exciting stuff!

Wow, I was surprised because I know the Colwood was your go to for many years. I have a Razertip and love it. I use one of the interchangeable pens where I can change the tips the most. I have broken a few of the writing tips mainly because those are the ones I use a lot and I also burn on higher heats as well. I have some fixed tip pens but they are pricey particularly the heavy duty ones. Thanks for the video, hope you and the family are doing well! God Bless!

Thanks Paul! The Colwood is still a good machine, I just don't use it much anymore.

@@Pyrocrafters Is there a reason you tend to grab the Razertip over the Colwood? (I'm trying to decide between the two brands)

@@Pyrocrafters I'm also trying to decide between the colwood and the razertip. I just got the super pro 2 in and the pens get hot hot at a 4. And the cork makes it feel like I'm holding a rock in my fingers. I'm looking for one that allows me to burn at higher temps without having to wrap the pen or my hand and is overall safe. I'm debating if I should stick with the fixed tip and just wrap the pens somehow or switch brands all together.
