I loved this style of video! I love to be able to listen to a video while I do housework. I really enjoyed listening to this one while washing dishes. I really hope that you make it to 10k! You deserve it. You’re one of my favorite “influencers”🤪 I love all of the homemaking content.

Do you do baby wearing? Could you wear Ravi and put Mateo in the cart. Just a thought. Love your goals!

This may sound weird but ... I push a cart with the twins in it and pull the other cart with the groceries by the back, not the handle so the wheels cooperate. People probably think I am nuts but it works. Learning as I go. Good Luck! I'm praying for you!

I’m with you. I don’t make resolutions such as choosing a word for the year. To me it’s more stress to shape my life to fit or reflect the word. I just try to make good decisions moment-by-moment throughout the year. Choosing a word to guide my year seems artificial to me anyway.

I’m not making any “set in stone” resolutions this year. But my top 3 improvements would be my weight/health, cutting down on screen time, and learning how to keep my house in somewhat decent shape. With 3 kids 3 and under I feel like I’m spinning most days. So our goals are a lot alike. My in-laws have a bulk food store so I always have free babysitting in the office when I need to get groceries too!😁

Haha the office babysitting is the best 😂😍 love to hear your goals!

My screen time is very high as well. I do make sure I read my Bible and do a study with my reading every day. I don’t watch TV. A lot of shows and movies have such terrible language. Must all the KZbin channels I watch seem to have relationship with the Lord or they don’t use bad language. I also had a stem cell transplant because of cancer and I now take a chemo pill which makes me feel terrible most days. So sitting and watching my IPAD helps a lot. I enjoyed hearing your goals for the new year. You young lady are a blessing to this grandmother of 60. God Bless your little family and extended family in this New Year.

Great video. My word for the year is Gratefulness. I’m also working on spending more time reading my Bible and doing online Bible study plans. I want to read through the Bible this year and continue to read through the Psalms and Proverbs everyday. Then I want my prayer life to grow. I so enjoy your channel. I pray that God blessed you and your family. ❤

Hi Valerie, one of my goals is to get up at 5, read my Bible, talk to God, make a to do list and 20 minutes strech and exercise. 10 days in and im loving how its making me feel! My youngest is almost 3 so i can go to bed early and that makes all the difference. A few yrs ago i was in the trenches, with 4 kids under 6 and no way i could be up early every day. Im excited to be in a new season. Im starting a home bakery this yr so i will be focusing heavily on that this yr.

Wow I LOVE all of those goals! Yeah you definitely have to do what works best for the season you’re in 🥰

Valerie, just try to be consistent and you will reach your goal. You are very pleasant and have good content. Don't sale yourself short. I too, want to work on my prayer life. I do pray all during the day but I need to be still more thru out the day and be intentional. So far I'm doing ok on my goals. I'm just trying to live everyone and treat everyone like I want to be treated. I want to be kind to everyone and not be so quick to judge. That's not my job. I really do love people and I want to love them more and show them Christ thru me.

I do intermittent fasting: basically I only eat between 8-5. Only water and herbal tea after that. But there's many different ways. Also "fasting" is a spiritual practice. I also stopped picking a word: 12 months is just way too long to try to apply one word to everyday life. Happy 2024🎉!

Haha I agree on the word thing!

I definitely wanna do more needlework this year and get rid of even more clutter. One item that comes in must let one go type of thing. Or maybe for one coming in three must go😂😂 i will see but thats all that i have on my list.

Happy new year. If you have instant cart where u live, look into that. I have about 6 stores that deliver there’s more if you do pickup. I find they usually find everything on list. They will text you and if there is something there out of they will send you a picture of things like what you wanted to see if you want a substitute. Also if you forget something last minute you can just message your shopper and ask them to add it to your order. I don’t know if this would help but thought I share. Have a blessed week
@ValerieKeim8 ай бұрын
Yes I do actually use instacart! It just gets a little more pricey after a while (I don’t have instacart plus) lol and for some reason they never give me the right amount of bananas but other than that I love using it! Lol
@TheMennomilist8 ай бұрын
I'm sorry I write long messages while I listen! I hope you don't mind. How many years so far have you been married (since you mentioned "When I was married 3 1/2 years"). I love baking bread. That was my goal last year, to bake lots of breads. I baked something pretty much every week other than when I had my baby and a couple weeks afterwards. It was so fun. It is hard to read a lot when you have two small kids. I remember I had a hard time doing that when my two oldest were tiny. This past year I read 119 books, but that includes audiobooks (which was about half of them - most all free through Hoopla attached to my library). I agree that it is hard to go grocery shopping with tiny ones too. I don't know how I used to do it. They didn't do online orders back then. You are blessed you have that available now. I think I carried one on my hip or in a wrap and put the other in the cart or I only went shopping if my husband could join me. I am also working on losing my baby weight since I am seven months postpartum. I thought I lost all of it faster with my first two in my twenties. Thankfully the past two weeks I lost ten pounds, so now it is starting to come off. I have always been skinny and in shape other than when I am pregnant or nursing. I finally hit the "normal weight" for my height the other day. I was really happy. I know that my body is still nourishing my baby and using the fat in my body to do that though, and that my breasts probably weigh a lot too (I am usually way smaller other than when nursing). I like the verse that you two chose together. It is beautiful. I feel the same way about my prayer life, but then I realize that I can pray while I am doing things in the day and while handling my children, etc. Be patient with yourself. Your prayer life will grow as your kids grow. I think it is just harder and harder to pray when you have to chase tiny kids. I hope you are successful in cutting back your screen time. I have a time schedule for when I check youtube and when I am on my phone. I don't touch my phone from dinner time until late at night. I will check it fast before bed in case I get emergency texts from a family member (We had two deaths in the family last year and have a lot of sick older family members right now to explain, and my husband's father is always in and out of the hospital). Otherwise, I try to spend an hour tops on the phone per day, if not, 20 minutes. There is a way to see how much time you spend each day and on which apps.
