Honestly, all porter had to do was get the coffee shop guys number then have him be like "call me when my grandpa comes back". He could have legit lived and not even lost a body part. He also could have planned it pretty well cus his grandfather would go after him or his mom so he basically knows where he's going. It was just stupid he went right in without much of a plan on getting out. I mean the acid was a good idea but he didn't have much of a plan really.

Nice story. Sucks what happened to Porter but considering all the close calls he had up until the end, made sense that was where he ended up with no hope of escape. I appreciated that the story treated him like a regular teenager and gave him all the faults and lack of skill that someone like him would have. He never accomplished anything more than what someone his age could feasibly do, which made his victories and failures a lot more meaningful. I will say that while Porter was acting out of revenge, it was made clear that the grandfather wasn't going to stop coming back and attacking Porter and his mother. He was led to believe their family was special and the only way he could return was using their bodies. So yeah Porter couldn't just let it go. In hindsight Porter could've explained to authorities that his grandfather was targeting the family and they needed protection. Could've caught the grandfather that way.

It was perfect besides one part .i dont personally think the family's response or lack thereof emotional anger was shown clearly enough about the grandfather. The mom says nothing and is forgetten and the son actually reacted to seeing him very naively. Like how are u angry enough to go on a dangerous trip and sacrifice a body part but not angry enough to try to kill the man on the spot?

Really liked the story. Only issue i had was with the whole "you go out looking for revenge and you'll end up dead" thing. I get the whole an eye for and eye and we all go blind but to be fair the kid wasnt just some bloodlusted killer out for revenge. He seemed to be doing it largely in part to protect himself and his family since he knew grandpa would keep coming for them to "recharge" his disney pass. He sought to kill his grandfather out of necessity and self preservation of himself and loved ones. Shit i wouldnt even want to have kids if i was oart of the old mans family. Apart from that the lore and story itself was excellent.
@YokaiX4 жыл бұрын
In defense of that line, the guy didn’t know anything about the kid’s past at all though, without any context he just assumed it was a typical rage and bloodlust fueled revenge quest.
@karaso04 жыл бұрын
@@YokaiX Thats not the argument, the point is that the author is trying to convey a point that when seeking revenge you have to dig 2 graves. The problem isnthat the kid wasnt out for revenge, he was trying to protect his family from his crazy gramps that he knew would keep offing members of his family.
@YokaiX4 жыл бұрын
karaso0 no I get that, I’m just sayin the line itself from the coffee shop owner was due to his limited comprehension of the backstory and reasonings for Porter’s mission. As for the author’s point and what he’s trying to convey, that’s a different subject, I’m not talking about that
@karaso04 жыл бұрын
@@YokaiX But that's my whole argument, the authors message is just that but the story is really getting the point across. The shop owner and the guy at the end that kills the kid are part of the story so they perspective is really irrelevant. They're just acting out their parts.
@YokaiX4 жыл бұрын
karaso0 ok, I actually agree with you, I’m just saying there was a rational reason for why the shop owner said what he said. My bad for not making that clear. I get what you’re saying, the author wants to convey a message about revenge etc, but it doesn’t work as well considering he had understandable and rational reasoning for wanting to kill his grandfather. It wasn’t simply about revenge, it was about defense as well

This is a very interesting story I sat for the entire thing which is hard for me with most creepypasta's and your voice makes the story 10x better. What makes this story special is that it takes a concept of a fantasy driven story, and made it so the antagonist dies in the end. I know you may not have wrote this story, still a great story non the less.
