No! I strongly disagree when you said "Big cities are stressful." I live in a city called "New York City" - and it is exciting to live here !!!!
@latebloomerrunner6 ай бұрын
Thanks for checking out my video! I didn’t intend to offend anyone by my “big city” comment. I’m sure that you would probably think where I live is quite boring. 😂 I do enjoy visiting NYC or Boston or any other big city. I just can’t handle more than a couple of days there.
@cathynewyork79186 ай бұрын
@@latebloomerrunner Thank you for your reply. I am just the opposite - I would probably love visiting your rural area for a few days, as I do love going to forests and mountains for hiking - but after two weeks or so, I want to be back in the heart of hyper, noisy New York City.
@cathynewyork79186 ай бұрын
I really enjoyed your video -- but - but - but - I do feel that you should have respected the BAA's request that runners not film the race. If their insurance and their traditions don't want it, you should respect that.
@cathynewyork79186 ай бұрын
I was in Boston to watch this marathon, standing a half mile from the finish. It was too hot for you runners. The 60-year-old man on the KZbin channel "Old Man Van Running" had trained for a 3:39 - and he ended up with a 4:03 because of the heat. I think this happened to a lot of runners. "Old Man Van Running" did a 3:48 in the last New York City Marathon, so a 3:39 in Boston might have been realistic if it weren't for the heat. I hope you still enjoyed it, however, in spite of the heat.
@latebloomerrunner6 ай бұрын
I recently subscribed to Old Man Van’s KZbin channel. I’ve watched several other videos from other KZbin channels and it seems that the majority of folks had a similar experience in Boston. It didn’t go as expected. But it was definitely a great experience! Glad you were able to be there! Have you run it previously?
@cathynewyork79186 ай бұрын
@@latebloomerrunner No, I have never been fast enough to qualify for Boston - but I have run the Los Angeles and San Francisco Marathons in California and the New York City Marathon 22 times. I hope you get to do the NYC Marathon someday.
@cathynewyork79186 ай бұрын
@@latebloomerrunner I'm glad you subscribed to Old Man Van's channel. Yes, there are several videos on KZbin of runners slowed by the heat - so you are not alone! But most of you didn't give up. Well done!
@cathynewyork79186 ай бұрын
@@latebloomerrunner Did you notice that Old Man Van did NOT film video during the race, respecting the BAA's rules? Good man.
