@@GARSHELL well i just didn’t like all the lint and i couldn’t control my dandruff. but i literally just had to restart my locs bc i can’t manage it all. i have a ton of hair it’s crazy. i can’t even afford all the products. the good shampoo and conditioner is like $40 each now and days. i had no clue what i was getting into when i removed them. sorry i let you down 😭

You should look up damp hair and dandruff. Damp hair is the perfect environment for the fungus that causes dandruff and the bonnet/ conditioning cap also traps in moisture. Hope that helps!

Yep used to sleep with hot oil as well. My scalp would not stop itching. Bacteria grows in warm damp areas so the scalp creates the perfect environment if we wet it and then cover it

I use rosemary in a bottle with fenugreek and I started to add aloe vera powder. I don’t boil the water tho. I just let it sit. And the water still changes color.

PLEASE try a wash and go. Please! I've been really wanting to see people with similar texture and length as me, rocking their hair TRULY as it is. There's just something about seeing a pretty girl in that hairstyle and still considering them beautiful, that just gives me immense confidence in my natural hair 😂 I've been really trying to push myself out of the habit of thinking that I NEED to put my hair in a twist out/braid out or some kinda stretching mechanism in order to look "acceptable" to go out. I feel like this is why we black people always think white folks with their straight hair always have it easier😂 My washday would actually cut down so much if I just stopped after moisturizing and detangling.

If you had to guess (I know you let your spirit guide you 😊) would you say that you put 1/2 a cup of each of the oils or 1 cup of each (olive oil, grapeseed oil, and castor oil (straight from Haiti YES!) Are wash and gos still a protective hairstyle for growth and length retention despite constantly using your fingers to lightly pull your hair to make it bigger daily? And/ or remoisturiziny every 3 days which requires finger detangling?

for me personally, wash n go’s are not a “protective” style or a style that i use for hair growth. a “protective” style for me is a style that keeps my ends tucked away from breaking. (mini twists) as far as moisturizing every three days, keep looking to try and find what works best for you for moisturizing your hair. every three days isn’t bad, but you want to try to go for every week. I hope this helped. 💗
