I'm still pre T and I am huge fan of my coarse and curly hair like yourself (reppin' for the gingers). I've looked into finasteride a lot. Could you please do a more detailed video on this and some updates please? Looking great man.

@@DevonSpears definitely I use the same brand of shampoo, conditioner, and then use a daily moisturizer and definition cream after the brand is called pattern for mixed type of hair 💪🏾

I’ve started noticing some thinning tbh in the back of my head where my cowlick area is. When I take pictures with my phone up close I can see the thinness in the one area, but other wise from a distance with my phone you can’t see it and it just looks normal. I asked my coworkers too and they didn’t see any of the thinness I had shown in the pics I showed them. So I guess it’s not bad yet if it’s only really something you can see up close. I also have had itchy scalp for as long as I can remember, so I don’t know if it’s thinning in that area because of how I scratch there a lot or because I’m genuinely thinning/starting to go bald. I get little red sores around my hair line and in that area where I’ve noticed some thinning every once in awhile if I scratch too much, so I don’t know if I have eczema, psoriasis, some allergy to something I’m using, or expecting male pattern baldness in the early stages because idk how an itchy scalp could equate to me going bald when I’ve had an itchy scalp for a long time and have been on T for 3 1/2 years. I’m planning to see a dermatologist during my winter break (I’m a college student) and see what they can determine it is because I’m thinking it’s one of those 4 things, but if it is early signs of male pattern baldness I’m gonna use Hims. They have a topical spray that both of the FDA products you mentioned at small percentages. So if I get diagnosed as having MPB, I’m gonna get some Hims stuff. Have you tried Hims or the other companies that specialize in that like Keeps or Roman?

Yea, I just started seeing my shit fade to black, last year after like 15 good ones. I didn’t think this would happen to me…I was trippin cause that shit wasn’t stopping. The Jamaican Castro oil is where it’s at; I tried this hair treatment foam from cvs or something which was cool too. But I guess now it’s time for this 3rd installment … I was just gonna get a hair transplant and get a beard and a thicker mustache to go with it😁switch things up a bit

I am a Transman. I was on Finasteride, but stopped . I’m 6 years on T. I started Finasteride later on.. I ended up getting “shark week” on Finasteride.. so I stopped.. and I even stopped taking T for now to see if I’ll get hair regrowth but not banking on it. I’m not bald, but obviously receded since being on T. Finasteride is ehhh with Transmen. I’ve talked to so many doctors about it. It can have adverse reactions like psychological effects and for Transmen if they’ havnt gotten a hysto it can produce a period like with me. Debating going back on T eventually and starting Finasteride but idk. I don’t think it has same affect as with cis men.

Thank you for sharing your experience, hopefully there will be more studies and research done so we aren’t going into this blindly- I also stopped taking fin just bc of the horror stories. Still doing everything else to keep up with my hair tho. Good luck with your regrowth journey!

Actually no , testosterone carries protien and makes your hair very awesome but the problem arrives when u start losing testosterone , than males lose hair .

@@justicethedoggo3648 estrogen is what maintains health in the hair giving it shine and a healthy look. Testosterone produces a derivative called DHT which causes androgenic alopecia which is why individuals who go on testosterone lose their hair if they are pre disposed to do so.

@@DevonSpears gotta disagree on that one , yes DHT causes hair causes but that's when there is imbalance of testosterone . DHT causes hair loss mostly in women or people who injuect testosterone . In cis males the reason of hairloss is mostly imbalance of testosterone , and it's also related to m@st3rbation . Both low and high levels of testosterone can result in hair loss , the reason current generation of men is facing hairkoss at younger age is bcoz men are producing record low mount of testosterone . I used to m@st3rbate and had long hair and i remember i used lose like 30-40 hair daily but after i stopped even for like a week my hair was absolutely fabulous soft strong and shiny . Testosterone is actually extremely good for skin , hair and bone structure infact testosterone gives u more sebcacious glands . BUT injecting it or losing or just imbalance can cause production of DHT . Trans men transitioned from female body , so definitely female body was not evolved in this way to withstand large amount of testosterone . Even males when they are teen face acne and other problems bcoz of the sudden inflow of testosterone however once the puberty is over there skin become extremely good . Males are actually known to have better hair but the problem arrives when they start losing it bcoz of imbalance of testosterone (m@st3rbation but no one will ever talk about it) , depression , genes .

@@DevonSpears in women estrogen makes hair better , in men its actually testosterone , which makes skin healthy and shiny , and strong . I will definitely lose hair if i ever decided to take estrogen .
