payhip.com/b/5... Hi Guys!
I have recently moved to California and I discovered that we have hard water. Eeek!
With that said I had to create a regimen since I am dealing with hard water.
I have to option of purchasing a shower filtration system but I needed something ASAP.
This is what I do:
I like to prepoo my hair (pre condition before cleansing your hair and and scalp) with Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil. The coconut oil is solid when the temp is under 76 degrees but will liquefy if it is above 76.
I like to take about a dime size amount of coconut oil (or less) and apply to sections of dry hair (usually and old wash n go and twist out) the night before I cowash it.
I then two strand twist my hair. If I have errands to run the next day, I will wear my two strand twists out.
I do not sit under a hooded dryer with the coconut oil nor do I cover it with a plastic cap.
I do cover my hair with my satin scarf at night when I am prepooing with the coconut oil.
The next morning I make my lemon aid recipe- I do this once a month. I add my conditioner or cowash of choice and mix the juice of the lemon together with the conditioner. I then allow the mixture to sit in my hair for about 15 minutes after I wet my hair. I detangle with it and rinse it out.
The lemon aid recipe does a great job removing buildup and protecting your hair against the minerals thats found in hard water. It's also great for swimmers.
Then I proceed with styling. Today I styled my hair in a wash n go. I pineapple my hair at night and sleep on a satin pillow case.
