In that desert area, you can get a new dog pal called a rayhound. They are a little slower than direhowls but have a double jump. You might get something interesting if you breed one with a mossanda, if I am remembering correctly.

@benkenewby correct. Each star on the wumpo after using the condenser adds an extra 10 weight for a final total of 160 per wumpo, very handy when you need to move around a lot of heavy stuff.
