Great video man. I wrote in your comment section last week, I'm the guy that's getting back into riding, I told you I rode old Soviet bikes. I wanted to share with you guys something. My family moved to a new area and I don't know all of my neighbors but, I was mowing my yard when one of my neighbors that I haven't met tell now was walking his dog with his wife. He stopped and welcome me to the neighborhood and we ended up somehow talking motorcycles. I told him my story and he invited me over for a beer the next day. Well he has two bikes. I think one was an Electra glide and the one I really like was a fat boy. I was drooling over the Harley's when he said would you like to go for a ride. I said He'll yea. We ended up riding for a few hours . I rode the fat boy and I was in heaven. As an immigrant I want to say, that Americans are just great ppl. I was so shocked that someone that barely knows me just let me ride there motorcycle. Anyway sorry for the long post, thanks for awesome content. Be safe.

Granted he was joyriding at the time if I recall but he WAS in the vicinity of the place he works at, a place that is functioning and deemed "essential". He said Lawdoggy gave him crap for being on a rocket bike. LMAO! It was a Honda NC700X, not a rocket bike by ANY stretch of the imagination. Just gotta LOATHE the LEOs at a time like that. I did same kind of thing with my girlfriend in a video a few weeks ago, she has been riding a few years so it was about her building confidence, she can take the turns but she has only had to push hard thru curves once really, it was on group ride and she was nervous and stressed afterwards. So she asked me to push the turns a little more when we ride together so she can be a little more aggressive and build her confidence that she can handle them at faster speeds that we might normally run when it is just us. Keep doing you and Keep on Riding!

That Magna brings back a ton of memories, my first bike was an 86 magna vf700 that I got for $500 and a road trip to the middle of nowhere. It came with a flat drag bar (awesome) and a car tire on the rear (not so awesome). I spent about a year riding, wrenching and repeat until I got a cracked crank case that upon further inspection had already been sealed with jb weld by the previous owner. I ended up selling the bike in full running order after I re-jbwelded it. It was a ticking time bomb but for $800 and a strong warning I hope the next guy enjoyed it. I wish I never sold it tho. At the time there were probably 20 first gen Magnas for sale on Craigslist and now there's only one or two that come up every once in awhile. For anyone with a Magna or thinking about buying one beware of how hard it is to get the carbs out of that valley and how easy it is to break the linkage that syncs all 4 carbs. Also, I had a turtle as a kid and I'm 99% sure that turtle was pissing on you, they do that when they're scared. I think you guy should come do some riding in NorCal, I know motorcycling is awesome everywhere but I've always felt extremely blessed with the roads we have to ride. Pretty much everywhere outside of the cities is either a tight mountain road with amazing views or a quiet empty highway. I hate living here for other reasons but the riding is amazing. I know you did a trip to LA but it's definitely a different vibe.

Your "Twisties" video was actually very educational for me. In PA, we do a lot of complaining about the shortness of our riding season (Bikes are usually in storage January to March). And about the quality of our asphalt (paved roads are rougher than the dirt road you took). But I wouldn't want to leave the mountains now. Flat lands just aren't for me. On the other hand, the quality of your roads means that you can do things to your motorcycles that we NEVER would up north. Hard tails up here simply do NOT get ridden. I would venture to guess that your average speed is higher than ours. So, no road shaming here. Those 80's Magnas are BEASTS! I have to disagree about the buckhorns though. My brother took those off his vf700 to get normal bars on, and it's a LOT more comfortable. They will never take riding away from us. Never. The moment they try, we will revolt!

Years ago (I was 20ish) I was talking to this Harley biker dude. He was the head of a club and was telling me about some of the amazing rides they went on. He asked me if I rode and I sheepishly said yes, knowing what the next question would be. He asked what I rode and I told him a Kawasaki Z1. To my surprise he said he liked that bike and said a couple of members of his club had metric bikes. I wound up going on a few rides with some of the nicest people you'll ever meet. They didn't care what you rode, just that you rode and loved riding. Good times.

IDC if you take a curve at 50 while I'm taking it at 25, I'm gonna ride what I'm comfortable with and enjoy myself instead of stressing on trying to keep up and ruin the enjoyment of MY ride. Got some nice curvey roads down near my buddies place, Lake of the Ozarks, but nothing like NorCal mountains. I didn't see what the big deal was about that dirt road though, it looked like easy riding to me. That rain on the other hand, I'll take a major PASS on that shit.

I've always believed that a motorcycle should have both electric start and a kickstarter. The weak link in bikes has always been battery/electrics. My daily ride is a 1982 FXB Sturgis. The starter relay went out this weekend during a 200 mile ride. The Sturgis is a one-kick hot/three-kick (two primes) cold bike, so the lack of a button didn't slow me or my buddies down. Replaced the relay yesterday, took five minutes and a $20 part. I'd rather kick a bike any day, than push it. Glad you had a friend with ya. Put a kicker on that thing.

Just to let you know, HD is the one who originally developed the modern version of the V4. The Honda V4 is basically the same engine that HD created in the mid to late 1970's and couldn't sell to the HD Dealers; they said traditional HD Riders wouldn't buy it... So, they sold it to Honda. Check out Project Nova in 1976. HD had V4 and V6 engines that produced up to 135hp, back then... But, as with many of the HD innovations over HD's History, it was shelved, due to Dealers not thinking they would sell... It's good to see, in my opinion, HD being innovative again. Not many new HD People know, that when I was a Kid, HD made all sorts of Vehilces, not just Motorcycles... They made Scooters, Golf Carts, Trikes, Dirt Bikes, and more... That died out in the 1970's. Then, in the 1980's, they just made Sportsters, FXRs, Softails, and FLHs. Then, next came the Dyna's, in the 1990's. And, that has continued until recently. Peace, Stiletto :-)

Let you down? It started! Dirt road, triumphs used to dominate the desert. Rain, at least it wasn't hail. Always look at the positives

Looked like a good time. We’re still riding here in Nevada too. 👍

Those HONDA V4 500s were great motors!!! I took my DL test on an 1984 INTERCEPTOR.... those were rated at 66hp! The Magna was the same motor with a different exhaust, it lost 10 or so HP. Great bikes!!! Ya ride the roads ya got..... Why do people have to complain all the time? Stay safe!

Florida beaches sure, but the interior is just beautiful. Great reactions to people trying out the Road King.
