Mazal Tov!! I had a homebirth w my second baby. But it was unexpected. I went to hospital and they sent me back home saying i was not there yet. 2 hours later she was born on my bed, my husband had to "catch" her. It was a revealed miracle to us that everything went well and she was healthy.

Kudos to choosing homebirth. It's the best option for a healthy pregnant woman.

For so many reasons its the best option for me. I had some trauma at my 1st birth, 2nd birth was okay but I was still not fully respected. (And I am not a fan of the attitude "the most important thing is you had a healthy baby" that is so prevalent in the medical world. Like, yes, of course! But I also exist and I'm also important, and I'll be the one caring for this baby....). So much to say, and I'm just praying for all to go well and healthy this time around. Thanks for coming to this channel and watching! :) -Chana

@@JewishEducationatHome Good for you. Healthy baby without sacrificing the well-being of the mother is the goal. Indeed, mother's welfare is often overlooked. Have you read Ina May Gaskin's Guide to Childbirth? Highly recommended

@@JewishEducationatHome Your heart will be aflamed with righteous indignation after reading the book. All the scientific explanations of the routine interventions being done to millions of mother that are doing them more harm than good. Check out the documentary "The Business of Being Born" too. Great eye-opener.
