The first hat reminds me of the hats Canadian Mounties wear but in black. It's not quite right and I'm guessing it isn't steam shaped. I could be wrong. In Texas we wear white straw cowboy hats in the summer. Black Beaver felt cowboy hats in the winter and everybody shapes them to their own preferences. Grey beaver felt cowboy hats are most often worn by State Highway Patrol Officers. Baseball caps and knit hats are popular. And welders are easy to spot for the hats they wear with their hoods.
