Life is quite tough in Singapore, cost of living is too high, making every square feet in her HDB unit useable for her business is a great improvised idea to lower overhead, rent on commercial space for hair salon can be exhaustive and too expensive to bear.

Same, there’s one near my house in Woodlands, near 2 bus stops, first is served by 178/187 only, which gos to Woodlands Interchange. Same for the other bus stop, 911 and 913M. They also go to the Interchange.

She replied that Singapore is my home too. i told her " you make a home in my country", you left China to born me here. Not really hijab friendly cause since the salon was at the front door, anyone could come in and a guy walked in while I had my hijab off. Plus when she did the bleaching, it was sooooo painful, I had blisters. Mind you, I bleached my hair at other salons before!
