I love this song. It is one of my favorites. The lyrics are so heartbreaking, and the vocals are beautiful. Jimin kills me on this one because his vocals are so haunting and emote a vulnerability and sorrow that shakes me to my core. Whenever members sing together, I relish it. They all sound amazing, too. I think Jimin just hits me in my soul because it sounds like he is feeling the words as he sings them.

It is a stage mix but I am sure that author/editor used a recording from a concert where Jimin had a sore throat. You can hear it when Jimin started singing for the first time. Despite of this you can hear the most emotion in Jimin's voice. All the members of vocal line have their unique tone and tembre but Jimin soft voice and that his "singing cry" at the end of frazes touches a sensitive chord in you 5 times stronger. This song is based on the short story "La cita de Smeraldo". A man lived isolated in a castle, wearing a mask to hide his ugliness. One day he saw a woman stealing flowers from his garden and he became furious. He later discovered that she sold the flowers to survive. He watched her in secret and ended up falling in love. He decided to create a special flower (the blue flower), with which she would earn a lot. When he finally did, the woman disappeared and he knew she had died. He regretted it then, because he didn't have the courage to make himself known and declare himself. Sad.

This was THE song that drew me into listening to more BTS. The emotion in the voices that I heard when my daughter was listening in another room. V's voice rang out when he sang, "I'm so afraid" captured my heart. There is an even more heart-wrenching performance where Jimin breaks down crying at the end. He was ill and unable to sing his part well. The other members helped and ARMY sang his part too. He was overwhelmed and upset that he couldn't give ARMY the performance they deserve. I know they're just un-infomred and it's so hard to get the word out in our Western market about who and what Bangtan really is. So I really love to see people discover the depth of who they are.
