Listening October 22, 2024. I heard this song Sunday 10/20/2024 at an ordination programme for an associate friend. The programme was beautiful. This song was sung by the choir and I cried as the lyrics penetrated my Spirit. I was so moved by it. Happy to hear this gorgeous rendition by BTC - one of the best choirs in America for sure!

While on deployment in Iraq in 2004 some of my fellow soldiers and I participated in a gospel concert and sang this song. We were practicing one night and we heard some explosions and sirens and if I recall correctly were told to take cover in place and wait for the all clear before we went back to where we were staying. Our director suggested we keep singing and focus on God. By time we got the all the clear and the power came back, no one had dry eyes, we all felt safe and a peace that's hard to explain and it left me with a memory about the Lord that I will never forget.
