@@lunacysstraightjacket2121 if you are up to date then you should know (SPOILER ALERT TO ANYONE ELSE) that she said she would refuse to heal him anymore due to that. He can't just break himself knowing that she will heal him anymore because she doesn't like that behavior. Additionally he switched to shoot style to already avoid those compounding of injuries over time that happens even when she would heal, and with full cowling to keep from having to turn it on and off in certain parts of his body for the majority of his fights. Full cowling is quirk control, the percentage is based on his bodily strength which he works out all the time to up the percentage.

Chris, it's not just high school that's stressful in Japan. Kids are forced to pursue academic excellence right from the very beginning. If you don't get into good schools, it affects your ability to get into a good college. So you can't slack off and wait until the last minute to get serious. Entrance exams need to be passed for the better schools and it isn't just based on what neighborhood you live in. Japan ain't just animeland like a lot of westerners assume.

When Present Mic was announcing the classes, they panned to him entering the arena with his classmates after Present Mic said "Next up, general studies classes C, D, and E!". He also said that he was looking to transfer to the hero course earlier when he was calling out Bakugo. 24:32 Um, I don't think you have to have a quirk to get into UA. I think it's just incredibly difficult to get into the *_Hero Course_* without a quirk but I don't think it's a requirement. Also if you don't get into the hero course because you don't have a quirk or can't cut it, you could just go into the business, general studies or support course. Which would still make you a UA student. It's not said anywhere explicitly, so if I'm wrong please correct me.

The purple haired kid was in general studies. The silver haired kid is in class 1-B. It's important to know the difference because general studies is just like...normal school. It's UA so it's a very good school, but they don't have hero training. Class 1-B is just the class next to Deku and crew's, so they're in the hero course already. All four courses (Bussiness, Support, General and Hero) are participating in the festival, and the arenas are divided by year, but obviously the hero kids are at an advantage because of the training.

Todoroki might be the second developed good but until season 2 todoroki was just that cool guy with cool powers. Excuse me but no to both of you. Midoriya is still shit at close combat. Also Midoriya had two teachers, All Might and Gran Torino. While Bakugou has the same quirk for all his life. What exactly has Todoroki had? He stopped using fire at the age of five. So saying Endeavor is so amazing with fire while Todoroki is brute force is you comparing someone with 20 plus years experience with his quirk to someone who started using it for few months and finding him short. Well done. And Todoroki also does not want to train with Endeavor. Atleast he didn’t until the recent arc. But he still got 3 new moves to his name and a new power up. How in the world in Bakugou leaving him in the dust? Todoroki changed his ice move, got close combat fire move which is so destructive it would off someone fire proof, got access to Endeavor level flames and learnt to control his op explosion in his Origin episode. He is arguably still the strongest and the reason he hasn’t gotten any special attacks like Bakugou is because he was busy trying to control a quirk he hasn’t used all his life with no masters or supports like Deku had. Doesn’t mean they are smarter than him. Also what powerups has Bakugou gotten other than AP shot exactly?

I always thought Shoto stopped using his quirk only when he actually had a choice about it (meaning when he started school.) His dad seems to think that his decision not to use his quirk is just a rebellious phase .... which doesn't seem to suggest that he doesn'T use it since 10 years but rather just a 'teenage phase'. .... else that would basically mean that Endeavor stopped training his son at age 5 .... that doesn't really fit what we know of the family history. That said. ... while I don't think Shoto is stupid, I actually think his strength mostly lies in his quirk. he has a very powerful and very versatile quirk. Both Deku and Bakugou I think are smarter, but Shoto is smart too. I also don't think Bakugo is leaving shoto in the dust....

From all the trounaments that they mentioned (Naruto, My Hero, HxH, DBS), DBS is the worst. The developing of the battles was awful. Just some fights were good like Goku vs Jiren for example.

DBS anime version of the tournament was FAR superior then the Manga version. the manga version has basically everything on speed, with Kefla basically taking everyone out not in universe 6,7, and 11, Krillin and Tien taken out off panel in the literal beginning of the tournament, and yeah Roshi fight Jiren for a bit which was the dumbest part. While the anime really dragged things out in the tournament we at least got an actual tournament, in the Manga the author basically has the whole thing on the fast forward button. About the only good thing in the Manga was that it actually gave Jiren more of a character and personality, but that’s about it.

Todoroki is pretty cool and very popular with fans, but personally I like Iida, Bakugo, Tokoyami, Kirishima and Tsu the most of Class 1-A probably. Then Deku, Todoroki, Uraraka, Momo and Jirou are probably my next five favorites (no order really there) to round out my top ten favorite class 1-A students. You'll come to learn more about these characters during this arc and the next couple quite a bit and I look forward to it. Class 1-B is another story and has some great characters and some non-hero course characters that will be shown off in this arc are great too, but I won't mention any names there yet. I'll hold off on pros and villain favorites for the same reason. Anyway, great reaction as always and get hyped for the tournament arc!

@Zeno I agree with you about the overall plot of the series which came after hunter x hunter but I think naruto did a far better job at building this arc. You felt always a sense of danger because each stage was a matter of life and death ( btw Orochimaru was fucking scary) and let's not forget the huge cast of unique characters which were introduced. Too bad they ended up being wasted potential in shippuuden. Hunter x hunter is a great story overall but I wouldn't consider the tournament arc the best one. Yuyu hakusho has the greatest tournament arc.

Todoroki did not take entrance exams. He was recommended specially. But on a lighter note Rama’s enthusiasm with Todoroki just makes my heart soar with happiness. Also Nahid just saw Todoroki smartly defend and attack in one move but he is only powerful quirk? He noticed Bakugou was more than just anger when watching Bakugou fight in season 1. Was the first person to calmly assess the villain situation and thought about someone jamming communications. And easily assessed the situation and went to save All Might with limited info. I think it is the classic our guys are better than the op antagonist we must beat syndrome. Though Midoriya is a sweet character to love. He is one of the smartest in his grade. But there are ways to counter him.

"There's going to be third years in this?" Nah, the sports festival is separated by year. "I'll make you fight these guys." Or he could just control the villains. "We still haven't seen the hot yet." Todoroki used it once, to melt the ice he made during the battle trial. "You have to have a Quirk to get into this school." Izuku specifically says in the first episode that UA got rid of that rule, but no Quirkless students have gotten into the hero course as of yet.

Chinyere Ugwu TetsuTetsu did not beat Todoroki. Are you smoking? Juzo bailed TetsuTetsu out from a mostly fatal attack. But even then quirk matchups are a thing in this world. Tetsutetsu because of his steel body is immune to fire and can break out of ice without tearing his skin off. That doesn’t make Todoroki weak because he had trouble against a direct counter and had to be taken out by another when distracted. Unlike Bakugou who actually got caught and had his team bail him out. But no man Bakugou is definitely stronger because you say so.

Class A & Class B are the only two classes training to be heroes, all the other classes are like regular school classes, and the purple haired guy didn't get into the hero course so he's in one of the normal classes.
