Deku’s compression wraps look like the gauntlet given to him by Melissa Shield in Two Heroes, I wonder if we’ll see her again. I like that he waited for Muscular’s muscles to rip/recede before hitting him, the reason Deku needed 100% in the past fight is because he had to push through all his muscle fibers to land a good hit. All Might has no strength left from One For All, he can transform into his large form, but only for a few seconds and usually coughs blood after he reverts back.

So the yellow "scarf" deku is wearing is actually gran tarino's cape. He's wearing it as a memento and reminder of what he has to do and why he has to do it. Brilliant add in for his costume design.

"Shigaraki isn't showing much remorse for what he did". Well, when you have the most evil guy on the planet swoop you up at 5 years old, groom you for the next 15 or so years to think that your trauma, pain and misery are good things, I can understand why Tomura doesn't reflect on what he's done. If you go back to his backstory, he very clearly feels remorse. With his dog, his sister, his mom. He doesn't even go to attack his dad until after he hits him in the face with that tool. And then he spends the next few days thinking that no one is helping him because he's being punished. He doesn't attack those guys in the alley initially even after they hit him. It's only after AFO gives him several repeated monologues and encourages him that his trauma is actually a good thing that he gives in. Also, if you go back to when he was in his Vestige World and talking to his family, he doesn't express any ill will towards any of them(except his father). But something I find interesting is that one of the few questions he doesn't answer when his family appears is when his Mom asks him if he still wants to be a hero. And all of the parallels Tomura has with Eri. Red eyes, supposed mutation quirk, both of them wearing red capes in scenarios where Izuku wants to save them. And if you really want to be technical, Tomura did end up becoming a hero for the villains by picking them up when they were cast out by society and even in this recent battle where, as soon as he appeared, the situation was suddenly in the villain's favor and he immediately wanted his team to be by his side.

Also the same shade of bluish/platinum hair, granted after Tomura's awakening it becomes pure white but still similar enough to qualify as a parallel.

14:04 Deku seeming that large is just dodgy animation. At this point, there hasn't really been a significant timeskip, it's not like several months or even years have passed. Regarding the fight with Muscular: It wasn't 100% clear from the translation, but what really happened here is that Shindo's quirk (vibration) loosened up & weakened the muscle fibers from Muscular and Deku went for Muscular's weak spot where he could get through fatigued/loosened muscle, which is why one 45% punch was enough to one-shot Muscular.

12:35 Muscular's quirk was acting up there because of Shindo's attack earlier, i watched in dub where deku explains why and says "you underestimated how strong shindo's vibrate was" instead, so its cool that Shindo did help defeat/weaken him in someway :), unfortunate that the subs didn't make it clear here

Mha's dub translation is so much better than its sub translation it's not even funny, even though they have to work around lip syncing. So many times the sub translation fumbles the bag and dub catches it. Common mha dub W

It’s good to see some students from other schools but I’d like to see more. What about that M. Bison looking mofo who failed the licensing exam with Shoto? Or Shinso who is supposed to join the hero course. Also, we have never seen UA’s 2nd years, and none of the 3rd years other than the Big Three. I guess if MHA was a Marvel or DC comic, there would be like 30 spinoff series filling every gap and answering every question (even ones nobody asked) and fan interest would get exhausted pretty quickly.

There is actually quite a big amount of signs showing that Tomura feels regret and guilt about his family’s death, and has a lot of hidden self-hatred because of what happened, but deals with it by embracing the idea that he always wanted it to happen and that he inherently exists to kill and destroy. Of course he wouldn’t be able to directly formulate his regrets, or even simply realise, and properly analyse, and express those feelings, considering that he spent 15 years being groomed by AFO. It’s not something this story is going to just say out loud, you have to listen carefully to what he’s saying and pick up on small stuff. Like, for example, the metaphorical piece of lead in Tomura’s heart being directly tied to his family, despite him saying he wanted them to die, and him believing that whatever he will do, he will never feel happy again, because the heaviness in his heart will never go away. Shigaraki just isn’t really able to come to certain conclusions on his own, because he was specifically raised to not be able to.

The Mid Gauntlet is probably made by Melissa Shield who's in the Two Heroes Movie (the daughter of All Might's American Bestfriend David Shield). She made the Full Gauntlet in the movie that could withstand a 100% of his power for a few hits. The Mid Gauntlet he's wearing this episode could only benefit half of the Full Gauntlet's ability.
