What we're shown with Toga in this episode kind of brings to the forefront something we've only seen hinted at previously - The idea that someone's Quirk can influence their personality. Again, this has been hinted at before, with certain characters (Twice's split personality, Tokoyami's dark aesthetic, La Brava's desperate need for someone to love... heck, even All For One has said that when he sees a Quirk he likes, he just HAS to have it - Like some kind of Quirk kleptomaniac), but now, with Toga, we REALLY get to see how damaging it can be without proper support. Because of her Quirk, Toga developed a taste for blood. It was pretty clear the girl needed therapy, yet everyone, even her parents, were just scared of her, calling her a "demon child". It's really sad, because her descent into this crazed serial killer is pretty much entirely the fault of the adults in her life. She had serious issues, but they all just treated her like something unnatural. She doesn't seem to have had any sort of guidance or counselling to help her work through it - She was just told to "be normal", and was expected to figure out why she was like this and how to fix it, all on her own.

The manga makes it clear that Toga derives sexual pleasure from the use of her quirk, that's why her parents used the word "hentai," as in sexual pervert, when describing her creepy smile. They acted irrationally because of how shameful it was for them.

The anime cut a number of things, such as the gore. There was a lot more blood in the manga. It also cut Re-Destro's introduction, which I feel was a bad play, since it gives us a better feel for the character. In case you haven't noticed his character design is base on the Joker from DC. This was more apparent in his introduction.

In the manga Toga got really messed up with all those explosions In the anime it just look like she tripped and got some dirt in her clothes. Makes it difficult to take her life or death situation seriously, and I'm still salty about it

Yeah it sucks a little bit tbh, similar to Kirishima's unbreakable last season, the scene is just waaay more impactful when you can see how on the brink of death they are, it's still badass tho, just not *as* impactful

They also downplayed Twice's flashback, that went really deep into the messed up situation of being hired as a cheap laborer because you can create clones of yourself that work for nothing, before being detained and tortured by the slaves you created. Twice came out of this mass murder/suicide of his rebellious clones so disturbed that he wasn't even sure to be the original anymore, and ended up believing he could die after taking a single hit.

Been excited to See the league of villains since season 4 when Shigaraki showed them he really saw them as a family, I knew they’d become threat with a mission. Now back to waiting for y’all’s next MHA reaction lol As always

Now I see why manga readers are upset at this season's order. The whole Endeavor Arc literally spoiled that Toga lived and that they all joined the Meta Liberation Army, so My Villain Academia just lost all its suspense because of that. Truly disappointing that they most likely did this just to tie in with a movie that they were too impatient to hold out on for another season. MVA is just an overly long flashback now instead of being a truly intense and suspenseful moment all because of the anime directors not being faithful to the source material sequential-wise. FYI, I am only talking about what we have seen, and the animators of the show spoiled us themselves by putting an arc 2 arcs away before this one that we are currently in.

Don't forget guys like bakugo told the audience in s2. Quirks are physical abilities. They can grow/become stronger/ more agile. So yes the month the league took off to fight gigantomachia is definitely one of the reasons they're all powering up. They're quirks have been worked out for weeks with little rest. The liberation army chose the worst time to pick a fight

What sort of relationship did Nana and Shigaraki have? Aside from the biological connection I don't think they had one. I'm a little unclear on exactly how long ago she died, but she is Shigaraki's grandmother and every image we have of her she looks rather young. I believe she died before he was born. I do agree with you and suspect that All For One is responsible for Shigaraki being out on the streets like that. I wouldn't put it past him to of orchestrated that, as he has both the ability and motive to do so, but I have no proof of it ether way.

what the student are doing seem different from what toga just did like her quirk fundamentally changed and toga seems to be super confused like she said "am i.... using uraraka quirk" in a question form so it would seem like toga didn't train her quirk to do that it just did it This just might be something completely new to the story

Ok. Let’s do the character analysis. I don’t know how many I’m covering so it’s trial by fire. You know the deal from my AvB analysis I presume. Shigaraki: This guy…he has to be hallucinating constantly with the amount of sleep he has gotten fighting Machia. It seems that there’s even MORE than what he just demonstrated since it seems tied to his memories. And I love the Medusa effect. Instead of making eye contact it is touching. And now it has a spread effect. Which is you know. Terrifying. And it happens so fast that even Spinner was in disbelief of what just happened. He blew literally dozens of people away like wind. And they feel every speck of themselves vanish as they decay. Even something that fast must feel it all the way and it is EXCRUCIATING since Overhaul and Aizawa both survived. Which…needs to be brought up. The 1st time Shiggy used decay in this show, it acted VERY differently on Aizawa’s arm. It didn’t turn into dust. It was like he literally tore off a large chunk of flesh. Toga: This was a VERY interesting showing for her. She has not quite mastered her quirk like one would assume. In order for her to copy a quirk, she wants to become more like those she loves. When that desire kicks in, she can use their quirk. If she can master that feeling, then yes she can copy any quirk. As of now it’s limited to Uraraka, Deku, and Stain. 3 great quirks for her to be sure. Which is the same amount of copied quirks Monoma started at. If you look at their family circumstances, their quirks, and even APPEARANCE, I realized there is actually a HIGH chance that the two of them are related. Likely cousins. If a the Toga family bloodline is of copy quirks, the chance of getting Neito Monoma and Himiko Toga in the same family tree is EXTREMELY high. They even have the same hair color, same giant smile, same obsessed personality, had shit parenting which they broke out to spite their advice and become who they want to be, all of that can’t be coincidence. If Toga’s dad is the copy holder and Monoma’s mother is the copy holder, than it’s just the case. And that is a VERY interesting conflict possibility. Unconfirmed of course but I’m at 70% chance already when I noticed that. Curious: Now I think she’s obnoxious. And that is something that was kept in the manga. The thing that is unique about her other than her awesome design is her obsession is NOT connected to her quirk and what it would push her to be. Other than loving stepping on conversation landmines I guess. And I like that. Quirks are often connected to personalities. This is a strange anomaly if you ask me. And I kinda like it. Also pretty ok with her not sticking around as much as she is currently sticking to the road. Crazy girl had kamikaze slaves at the ready. But an equally horny person for stories fighting a horny person for blood is a VERY amusing fight concept. Like my GOD did she moan a lot. She is REALLY enjoying herself. I am not sorry because the rest of her demeanor screams it. Dabi: Dabi I wanted to mention this last time when I looked into him. He is a sociopath. So instead of being born emotionally deprived he learned how to become that way. Ordinarily it branches from trauma. You know what it is just by looking at the guy. His firepower is NO JOKE. That ice blast was on par with Shoto’s stadium nuke in season 2. And Dabi is holding it in place pretty easily. Even with Toga’s new power up, she’s still got nothing on Dabi. She doesn’t love him so no quirk for her. Dabi is at standing the strongest member of the league. No one has his kind of power yet. Uraraka: So I guess I’ll talk about my theory as this is the most relevant it will get. If you pay CLOSE attention to Uraraka’s quirk using, it doesn’t match to zero gravity except a handful of times. Her floating power on herself doesn’t follow zero gravity physics. She can fly in curves and patterns for some strange reason. When she releases her hold on her attacks, they rarely EVER fall all at once. Even when Toga used it. And even at different speeds when they do fall. And she too can spread her effect across not just entire outfits, but entire PLANES. So here is what her quirk is most likely. Gravity control. Not just removing gravity, but lessening it (when an object stops floating upwards for some reason and they fall slowly and increase speed. Like moon jumps.), increasing it (when the rubble she uses falls at different speeds), giving OTHER OBJECTS gravitational poles (when she magically flies towards specific objects), changing gravity’s natural direction (when she flies in curves) and of course spreading it on large scales (stabilizing an entire plane AND it’s cargo, and pilot, all while only touching the steering wheel. That may not be canon but the fact she can spread her effect across an entire person and their clothes shows that is COMPLETELY possible. Best example is when she carried Nighteye out of the hideout. She effected him, his clothes, and her all at once.) This is so broken it’s obscene. If she masters increasing gravity, she could replicate 13’s quirk. And that could EASILY put her in the realm of OFA at the end of the show. There are 4 possible OFA contenders at the end of the show among the students. And it’s the main 4. Bakugo, Todoroki, Iida, and Uraraka. And with the cast being able to keep pace with Deku at all at 20% shows they can make it all the way. She’s my number 5 of the 40 when she’s in a fair environment with everything she needs to fight. But if she gets this power up, she’s number 2 only behind Deku. No exceptions. This is the best chance to talk about this.

Toga can't be cutting and stabbing people, that's for sure. Sometimes normal is relative, but sometimes things are just right or wrong. If Toga couldn't cast aside her blood lust, which it's probably biological for her, then she could have worked at a hospital or something and got blood donations. Either that or they could just remove the criminals quirks if is too much for them. Those with manageable quirks should be able to use them freely though as long as 't committing crimes. Is pretty simple really.

That's the problem though, they didn't try to teach Toga how to manage her bloodlust and quirk, instead they tried to make her stop entirely when she was young and unable to control herself. They treated her like a freak and so did probably everyone she grew up around. In the end that's going to leave you with little compassion for other people too. The system failed her.

@@LegendsForever206 Of course I'm hating it, that's what I meant when I said it's bad. MHA dubs are usually pretty good and close to the original voices, but this one feels like the character just got 20 years older, and lost all the playful craziness that her body movements and mimic still shows.
