A question for Kacee or Anthony, or both, (or anyone who knows) but some of your reactions for animes have subbed while others dubbed - what's your basis for deciding? and would you consider just using subbed over dubbed? in ep 25 please just watch post credit scene and how are u speaking about twice, he didn´t expand his quirk he was always capable to do that but he had trauma from his past and he think that he is a clone and he is going to disapear when he get damaged that was broken with skeptic´s clones

Shigaraki's speech bubbles were always shaky in the manga. But after he found his confidence and remembered things, the bubbles became normal. Both the dub and sub represented his different way of speaking greatly. Shigaraki destroyed a city with one blow and now has an army on his side. Truly built different.

Shigaraki's character development is great. Started out as just a whiny punk when we first saw him. After AFO was captured, he settled and became more methodical. Now he's an absolute monster

Exactly it’s one of the few shows where we see villains character development throughout the entire show. Not in just like 3 episodes of flashback.

I just realized: During the PLF presentation, Shigaraki is looking just like All for One did on Machia's flashback. White hair, red jacket and black suit, face obscured. Now, he truly is his successor. He is the Symbol of Terror. Everyone is in deep trouble.

AFO's black suit and Overhaul's fluffy jacket. In the manga, he quietly complained about his uniform being itchy which is apparently a way to tell us that his isn't like either of them. Not trying to point any flaws in the anime (I can't remember, but they might have shown him actually scratching himself on stage), just thought it was worth mentioning.

@@ttb8932 I'm honestly a fan of AFO. I do get how he is a bit of a "boring" villain, but what I like about him is that he is the perfect definition of a "villain", making him the perfect main antagonist in the series. His backstory is also the exact opposite of Deku's. Deku admired heroes and wanted to become the greatest hero. AFO admired villains and wanted to become the greatest villain. For this series, he's best suited for being the main antagonist. All that aside, Shigaraki himself is a better antagonist, while AFO is just a better "villain".

Something cool that happens with Shigaraki is when he unleashes his Quirk for the first time on his Family his Hair Changes Color…….. Then His Hair Color Changes Again After His “Liberation” And I Just Thought That Was A Cool Little Side Note I Didn’t Notice In The Manga

I was quite taken aback by the voice change that I had to check the original Japanese version; I noticed that the VA for Shigaraki is slightly more subtle in how he changes the voice but I like how the dub is more direct in going from the raspy voice to a more cool and confident one.

Yeah I always enjoyed how shigaraki sounded before but his new voice is awesome now. Props to Eric for losing the rasp in his voice and going deeper so shigaraki sounds more confident, menacing and more stable than at the beginning

And thus ends MVA. What a wonderful arc. I’d give it an 8/10. I thought it was really solid. Shigaraki- His control over his quirk is absolute now. He can turn it off and on with any contact at all and it only happens when he chooses. In any direction of any moderation he chooses. Even specifically around certain objects he doesn’t want to without obliterating them. Also if I’m not mistaken Shigaraki means savior. (So a fitting name for AFO and OFA since both sides see the 2 god quirks as just that.) Shigaraki is liberated from EVERYTHING. He doesn’t care that his past was revealed. He could take it. And because his past came to light when he had a fully developed personality meant it wouldn’t change anything. Just relieves him and let’s him have full control. Due to that reveal any character with contact based powers like Uraraka, Kaminari, Todoroki (in a way), maybe Monoma, Mudman, Rule, Emily, Mines, can all likely do the same. Many of them have figured out various aspects of it. But none to the level Shigaraki has. Redestro- Redestro is related to Destro. Yes there are likely multiple Redestro’s as a passed down title of his bloodline. Destro’s era was near the end of AFO’s rule on Japan since the world was described as in chaos, which is always synonymous with his reign. So it was about 150 years ago as a good estimate. Redestro being held by his lineage means he can’t be liberated. So removing his position up top he was prepared for liberated him. Also after such a giant slaughter of characters, all the enemy leaders of the MLA survived except Curious who is a puddle of parts now. Which is very impressive control of Shigaraki. There were only 2 necessary scenes I wish they kept in that were cut because we just NEEDED that Uraraka episode. (Which would’ve been fine if they took the Stain arc approach of showing little bits of what they were all doing and end on Uraraka’s part. But because that was FILLER, it really was unnecessary.) There’s a scene where they were scrounging for food as the league wishing they got funding which would give context to Shigaraki’s demand when Redestro surrendered. And also at least one scene where Redestro was shown in incredibly emotional fashion. Either his commercial scene, or when he mourned for Curious. And both were not needed, just one. That was the only thing that actually hurt the narrative in the arc exclusive. Ultimately minor mistakes but I’ll address it now that the arc is over. The rest was INCREDIBLY well done. Also AFO is absolutely capable to have given Shigaraki decay since Shigaraki is a late bloomer for a quirk. AFO may have been looking for toxic households. And he chose the Shimura household. I think AFO was a corporate leader to make that search possible. And paying someone like the Shimura dad well would make him the necessary breadwinner and a toxic household creator. Invite the boss over for dinner, and the rest would be history. AFO needs resources to be such an incredibly powerful villain. So being in charge of a corporation would create that. Before AFO fought All-Might, every shot of AFO was started by showing a skyscraper first. Which may be a huge building he knows. Something like that. I consider Season 5 a success. Who is getting hyped for season 6?

All he knows is what the bullet looks like and measurements. and he can only make two at a time, and cant make anything new until the first one dies,

I used to love Aizawa because of his quirk and personality, but after all the growth and development Shigaraki has gone through, I think he might be new favorite character of all time. Hands down one of the best villains, in all of fictional media. Thanos who? Voldemort who? Darth Vader who? Nah, Shigaraki is the GOAT.

As far as Deku's unlocked powers, I think their gonna drop 2 new quirks per season and try to keep the viewers excited about 'what's to come next' sorta vibe. It's just good business sense to keep the audience's attention for as long as possible, not to mention he kinda has to master the ability b4 moving to the next... right? That's gonna take time, and by time I mean seasons. Hats off to the writers, this is one best anime series I've ever watch. gg

Remember, they screwed up the arc order, so the Endeavor arc spoiled that Re-Destro and all the other characters live. Again, MVA is no longer a climactic experience because they ruined the outcome by showing a future arc beforehand.

Now this is probably far from true, but i think it would be cool: what if All For One stole Dekus quirk Decay and gave it to Shigaraki. Just a little theory I came up with
