Nice! I just picked up a walnut satin with rosewood fingerboard version last week, great price and a lovey bass. I have a Darkglass Tone Capsule on the way, I really like the ideas you had for tone shaping, especially the passive push-pull coupled with the 10 way tone selector, just dial in the exact tone every time you want it, awesome! I do want to upgrade the bridge for the same reason, sloppy saddles with no grub screw rails below is pretty sad, I have checked out the Albridge but man, so expensive, I’ll keep looking. Likely I’ll just keep the pickup stock, just to see how it sounds with the new preamp. I did have an original EB Stingray 5 about 30 years ago, and I loved it very much, life changed and it had to go sadly, but here I am again with this, yes, it is different, of course, mainly the neck wood and profile, a 5 way selector (easy fix), much nicer bridge, and tuners, but actually, not as different as I had expected. I plan to have this as my forever bass too with some mods.

@@stricnine6012 I started saving for it when it was announced. Then life happened. I still would like to try it. Or a Z7. I should note I modded this bass at least a year before Sire even announced their models.

Where did you get the thumb rest? That looks exactly like the thing I’ve been looking for
