My Hobonichi Techo 2025 Unboxing Haul

You made some great choices! I fell head over heels for Yumi this year, and I got the A5 and A6 covers. I got last year’s A6 Yumi cover for my journal and I love it so much. I also got the Yumi Weeks, the folders, the sticky notes and some other things. I couldn’t resist the blank notebook, either. Blank Tomoe River paper has been a dream of mine since I discovered Hobonichi in 2021. I’ve been devoted to the A5 but discovered recently that A6 is the perfect daily journal size for me. I can write a few sentences and some goofy doodles and be done. I also have collected the regular grid notebooks. I get a couple of the A5 size every year. But I now have a decent stash so I am holding off buying more for now. (And now I think I need the Gurunpa’s Kindergarten cover. That painting is just so sweet, I can’t stand it.)

Right!!!!??! Yumi is such an amazing artist! I love everything she does. I wish I had a use for a6 because I would have loved to get that cover and pencil board as well 😭💕💕💕 blank notebooks have been the dream too!!! I’m so happy they branched out for the notebooks! I love them so much and I don’t know what I’d do without them 🥰 I’m happy you’ve found that the a6 works well for your journaling! It makes me so happy knowing others have found journaling peace! Hehehe that sweet elephant is so cute! 🐘💕🤭 I’d love to know if you end up getting it!

thank you!!! 🥰💕 I can understand that! A6 and A5 notebooks aren’t too pricey if you ever wanted to test the paper! I actually swapped to using notebooks over the Avec version because there were so many pages that weren’t getting used in how I journal. 😅

I still need to order my Hobonichi for 2025, oops! I have a soft spot for pencil boards, l have some A6 ones for my planner and the A5 for my sketchbook (which is a B6 but eh). I always get the traveler’s company ones too (l tend to loose them around the house so more is actually good 🤣). I have several plein air bags for sketching and painting, depending on what l’m taking and especially, which palette as my Kuretake gansai tambi ones can get quite sizeable 🤣

Do you already know what you’re going to order? Pencil boards are very pretty! Especially the TN versions! I think I’d order all sizes of pencil boards no matter what if I was actually going to put them to use. How do you like the Kuretake palettes? I usually use tubes because I can create small palettes that are easier for transport but those have always been tempting for home painting.
