Blender cleaning hack. As soon as you're done using it, just pop a few drops of dish soap and some water in it and blend that for a few seconds and it'll clean your blender for you. Genius and simple. Particularly helpful for the fluted type you have I would imagine.

@@taylorwynn We've had laminate floors for 20 years, and we only use vinegar mixed with hot water to clean our floors. We dry it with old towels. This sounds labor intensive, but it cleans the floors without leaving a residue!

A little tip about blenders….once you’ve done your smoothie, add some warm water to your empty blender and run it for a few second. It makes it so easier to clean. I do that with my Vitamix and works wonder!

Cleaning products - minimalist style: Mr Clean's Clean Freak, Barkeeper's Friend, Lysol liquid for hard floors, and a 91% isopropyl alcohol mix (70% alcohol, 30% wayer, can add a couple drops of Dawn dishwashing liquid) (great disinfectant and window/mirror/glass cleaner), and Mr. Clean Magic Erasers. Been using these for ages! That's it. It covers all the cleaning needs.

I love Dawn powerwash. That’s actually what I use to clean my bathtub lol. Anytime I use bath bombs and bubble bars, especially anything with some oils in it, the stains can be brutal. Powerwash cleans like magic!

I hear you about cleaning! I just decided, after dreaming about it forever, to hire someone to come in to clean twice a month. I only have a limited amount of time when I'm not in a severe state of dealing w illness. Cleaning takes me a loooong time, and it always sucks when I spend my limited time "up" cleaning. Robot vacuums are a game changer!! Never going back. I also stopped using scent boosters after I learned they often leave waxy residue in your machine and on your clothes.

Did you know that even normal detergent leaves a waxy residue on your clothes? My husband and I have bad allergies and can tell when all the residues aren't removed. It takes 2 vinegar wash cycles not even a rinse to remove residues of even the gentle non powder detergents.

I'm a ninja coffee brewer Stan. My boyfriend got me one for Christmas years ago and every time I've needed to replace it I've gotten another ninja. They definitely brew a better cup because they have a built in "blooming" setting. The machine automatically blooms the grounds before it brews them. This allows for a smoother, fuller, richer taste without the usual bitterness and acidity. Now, I'm not sure if ALL of their machines do this, but every one I've had does.

Taylor, try the dawn power wash on grease stains on laundry. Gets out makeup too. Pretreat and wash with tide hygiene clean. Saved my husband’s jeans, stained with grease, cooking oil and asphalt.

Love your videos! My favorite floor cleaner is Fabuloso in the yellow, lemon scent. It smells fresh and clean to me, as does the whole house. I have smooth porcelain tiles downstairs and in bathrooms. I only use about a 1/4 cup (my guess-timate) in a gallon of water and use the O'Cedar spin mop. It's one of the few that doesn't leave streaks. My second favorite cleaner is Mr. Clean aĺl purpose cleaner in the bottle, also yellow and smells like a clean scent. My second favorite is the Libman Wonder mop with the cut up orange strands. It's light weight and also doesn't leave streaks. I use this on the wood floors upstairs with Method wood floor cleaner in Almond. Also, clean smelling. I would love to see a video on your favorite decor.

Cleaning hack, I’m also a cleaning geek and I found a great hack. Method Daily shower cleaner is invaluable. It really does work to keep your shower/bath clean. I really only clean my shower maybe once a month and it’s not really needing it……. It somehow keeps the shower clean if you spray your area in shower or bath and apply on walls also. I even spray in sink bowls also and it helps. They have two scents and both are good but not overly scented. I’ve also got spray on my skin and it doesn’t irritate my skin.

Use a mixture of water and white vinegar for floor cleaner. You can add a few drops of essential oils for smell if you wish. That’s what I have used for years on all hard surfaces and laminate flooring.

This is so random Taylor, but if you see this - I just saw an ad for the type of blender you have with the ridges on the inside, and apparently those help increase the "turbulence" within the blend to create a smoother end product. lol it would annoy the crap out of me to clean, though! ❤

The reason that The Beast Mini's jar container has those ridges INSIDE of it, is because there needs to be an uneven surface to help blend whatever food is inside VERSUS it having a smooth surface (in order for) the blender to be able to more easily break down the contents of the food. So if you throw an apple against a smooth surface I'm sure it will make a dent in the apple and the apple will remain intact BUT if you throw an apple against a sharp and uneven type of surface there is more opportunity for the apple to actually break apart..

As far as cleaning supplies go, you can save a ton of money by just using one all-purpose cleaning concentrate for almost everything and only specializing where you have to. I have reusable spray bottles that I just re-fill with dilutions of simple green and water. I use the same thing on my floors, surfaces, shower, everything that isn’t hardwood or greasy. For kitchen messes, I use dawn dish soap. Really the only specialized cleaners I have are for hardwoods (Murphy’s oil soap) and toilet bowl cleaner.

The Dawn Power 'whate er' dish soap is freaking magical! I googled it's uses, and do not stop at dishes. So far I've used it with wonderful results on and in my refrigerator, my stove top and front, even the vinyl floor in front of those too. I've got a very old stainless steel sink that nothing cleans, it's never looked better. I use a variety my E-cloths to clean and then wipe dry since they don't scratch anything. Next.. the bathtub!

Love your new place! A hack for cleaning the blender is to fill the container with soapy water and then blend it and it'll self clean, for stubborn spots where food is stuck, add a couple of ice cubes and blend and clean
