Sorry, but there is a line between „making the best out of what we have“ and putting an absolute insane amount of super expensive stuff into a living room, making it visually (sorry to say…) suuuuper ugly. There are thousands of great sounding options for a fraction of the costs you must have paid which won‘t make your living room look like hifi waste disposal..

like the video. Dude, I had that same TV, well perhaps the model before yours, mine was the Bravia XBR-65X900A, loved that tv. Had to give it away as it was not running well after about 7 years. But we got a lot of use out of it, probably like 5 hours a day on average if not more. The speakers are so good on it, the downside was you couldn't add a sub or surrounds to my tv and therefore they were only used till I got a surround sound system. Yes they are the best speakers ever on a TV, however, any decent surround system with a dedicated subwoofer should be better. So I stopped using the TV speakers and then I was like why do I even have this tv anymore, it had no apps except for Netflix and was incredibly slow year after year. It was incredible at the time. It still looks cool now.

The fact that you can configure speakers to large means that it has purpose if you can find use for that configuration and it works then do your thing. Not everyone has their crossover point at 80 its a general rule but it's not a box. If persons have larger speakers that can be configured differently then why not. And yes bass can be localized so your set up should sound good but personally I'm not bassaholic but I do love good bass. Thanks for explaining I was wondering why so much subs but I get it the only thing I may have done differently is not have the one in the back that couples the left and right rears I would have kept them separated.
@ProfoundAV-123Ай бұрын
@@Jcan4u thanks. As for the rear subs. I’ve tried with and without and preferred it being in the mix as it provides and mid bass kick that i like. It’s a 10 inch driver vs the other two which are 12 inches. The mid sub it getting both left and right signal. I don’t believe there is much coupling going on because it’s a smaller driver and and not necessary playing the same signal. There may be some couple perhaps as certain freqeuncies but not to the extent that one would think. True coupling would involve same driver size playing the same signal. The dual stack SVS subs are truly couple since meaning the three subs in the right from are coupled to each other and the rears stacks would be coupled to each other since the driver are the same and they are getting the same exact preout signal.

@ProfoundAV-123Ай бұрын
Yeah the Salamander is a well built unit and has a timeless design. Also I went with the stack look because I was intrigued with what the coupling effect of the subwoofers adding to overall performance. I’m also limited in subwoofer place which is why I went diagonal which measures well.

Nice equipment, but you stacked your 3 most powerful subs in one corner of the room and your other subs spread throughout the room are less capable. You would have a more even room response for bass if you strategically spread those SVS subs throughout the room.
@ProfoundAV-123Ай бұрын
@@LeeLee-fi7mx I love the stack look plus I’m limited in placement and is the reason why I went diagonal. Also stacking increases output by 6 to 9 db vs spreading them. The other subs roll off at 40hz and are not and were not intended to handle LFE. 🙏
@LeeLee-fi7mxАй бұрын
@ProfoundAV-123 Gotcha, I once stacked my subwoofers when I was limited for space, and the output gain is significant. But after moving to a place with more space, I measured and placed my subs in optimal separate areas of the room, and it sounds so much better than stacked placement.
