I love yr house but I'm thinking about all the time it would take to keep all this clean. I used to want to have the same look as you have but now I'm going towards the minamilist so I dont have to spend time dusting. I want my collections behind glass so I can spend my time between sewing and being outside with all the chipmunks, squirrels, and birds deer and whatever else passes by. I envy yr beautiful screened porch. That's what's missing here. Nice home and u keep it so beautiful. I'm paring down and donating to local mission store. Hello, my first time seeing your channel. I have several items you have and was amazed to see. Our tastes are equal ") even sharing red as a favorite color. I have my wedding dress which is 48 yrs old and too, can't imagine I was that skinny "). Recently I acquired my sisters wedding dress, it being 49 yrs old, as she was going to give it to the thrift store "0 Our mama made our dresses. I can not relate to ones who do not view family heirlooms or history as I. Your home, furnishings, collections, etc. are wonderful. If I may only suggest something that would add to the charm of your home is a piece or two of redwork embroidery. I have done a very simple pattern I made myself on 100% cotton flour sack dish towels that WM sales. I really like the idea of the old patterns framed, I think I will be doing this for my sewing room. ") Thanks for sharing. In Joy

I would not shock my plant roots with ice unless that is a plant that can thrive in winter rain!!! They used to say that for my orchids and thankfully they have quit advising such. Love your tour.

Your patio is beautifully decorated. The surround in lawn and trees so welcoming. I also have a patio area that is enjoyed when it’s not so hot. I really like the way you have everything displayed, but how do you do any meal preps in your kitchen? I have too much on my counters, and I know I do when it starts to drive me crazy when I either look at it, try to use the counter tops, or just clean! Speaking of cleaning, how much of your time is spent cleaning? My displays on top of the cabinets begin looking crusty....I hate that, then I know I have to take a day to clean. ugh. But I keep on doing it because I can't get rid of anything! LOL However, being in my late 70s now, I recognize the need to start downsizing. A painful thought, to be honest. I noticed your mantel clock upstairs. Is that a Seth Thomas? I have what looks to be the exact same thing, which belonged to my maternal grandparents. They bought it when my Mother was born, in 1924.

Hi Sharon ! Thank you so much for Watching 😊 Meal preps - I cook maybe twice a week since it is just my husband and I it’s easier for us to go out . Cleaning I do my major cleaning always starting in January. I go through each room I take things down wipe it off and I rearrange the room. We moved from Florida about a year and a half ago. From about 4000sq feet home to this 1800sq feet house. It definitely takes time for downsizing! But I’m working on it .Something I would like to have a small little cottage and go through the house and only take my favorite antiques Leave the rest and sale it !!!! When we used to drive a truck over the road, and my husband is still gone through the week (a travel mechanic for RR equipment) we...and he now...have too many meals eaten out. I love to cook so that's why it drives me crazy for my counters to be laden down with either pretties, or necessary stuff. Can't help it. But I really did enjoy seeing your home. Yep, downsizing is hard...

Hello from Kentucky! Your home is beautiful. My favorite color is red also, I have a red couch too! I’m pretty sure you’re the only person I’ve seen with a red one. I love antiques and primitive things. I’ve used primitive decor the majority of my life, but I also love farmhouse and cottage decor. Slowly I’m transitioning in mostly white and cream colors with black accents. If you didn’t have primitive and antiques, what would be your second choice?
