This story feels like it barely touched up the years of stuff they put them through. OP and her husband went nuclear and you know it wasn't just for one instance. Also how entitled do you have to be to put a tampon on the hands that feeds you to take her down a peg as a power move? With a toddler in the house no less

Idk how the older brothers wife can't afford child care if she's a project manager and the husband working long hours, hire a nanny temporarily until you can get something else sorted out, what are you working for if not your family?

Depends on a lot of things, but in today's economy, it's not actually that unheard of. Childcare costs have gone up significantly over the past couple years too.

Imagine going on such a power trip that you could've just been clean and avoid all of this, but instead you had to pretend you had some power over the person housing you and still thinking you're entitled to help when the fallout starts affecting the rest of your family xd I hope they all turn on SIL one day because they realize she brings all the drama.

Trying to understand the psychology here. If I don't have a house over my head and someone hosts me, I won't be a queen/king there. And after the first strike, how do you double down? What is the root of that confidence?

Anyone get the feeling that OP was the free child sitter? To be used and then gets disrespected in her own home. Glad the husband stood up with OP. The sister in laws want kids, but thinks it's okay to be lazy and a slob who couldn't even put rubbish in the bin properly. Then has the hide to try and bully OP and her husband to bend over backwards to help? Yeah, nah. OP and her husband were used. The sister in law entitled ways got her kicked out and not to mention she couldn't even do basic parenting with the daughter that left a bloody towel in places a child could get to. How nasty and unsanitary to live like that. Guess she didn't have to hide who she really was and she dropped her disguise.

Convenience is another idea used like family. This whole outfit runs on convenience.Each one has a place carefully guarded and to some extent respected. How does sister in law hold her position? Being pathetic does not diminish her position. All played their parts well and OP took her share of respect. I believe she and her husband can hold it. One of the other brothers’ wife will be next. She had a claim to want quality bonding time. We will see how long that last. Wait till the familys’ July vacation.
