I'll be sharing my honest opinion in this video, and there were some GREAT pieces, and others that left me scratching my head wondering... "what were they thinking?!". This year I'd love to add more pieces from Hermès like the Birkin size 40, Constance, 24/24 and Bolide. Maybe I'll be bad and get an Hermès Kelly 40! I also recently fell in love with the Chanel Jumbo- so that's kind of a must-have for my collection, along with a Chanel Mini Rectangle and a Chanel Reissue. I like the oversized kiss locks; that kind of play on scale just seems whimsical and kind of cheeky in a way I like. All the graffiti and stickers, though… It’s like they took the high school notebook doodle aesthetic, but made it generic and mass produced, which… I don’t see any way for that to not be an oxymoron! If I really wanted that look, I’d thrift a bag and have at it with a ballpoint pen, so that it’s *actual real doodles* and not Coach’s standardized imitation.

Great video Caleb!🎉😊🎉 as a designer, I agree with you...the leather of coach back in the day was superior. I had one of those beautiful leather brass kiss lock coin pouches back in the day too😊Also back then their made in USA, in New York City creed was just fabulous....💥my deaigner collegaue said,put a vintage bag next to one now- its way different, the leather so much thinner and overall not what they used to be,also strange to see a homage to NY now on the runway but their now made in another country 😢..she has valid points there.

I felt like this collection was a big meh. I did like that gorgeous leather car coat but everything felt very teenager-y. I like bag charms and some of the graffiti details but I feel like I’ve seen all this from Coach before. I also wish they would choose colors that aren’t so desaturated like the lilac and pale green. Sorry on a rant here 😂 maybe I will like the pieces when I see them separately in the boutique!

"Big meh" that's the perfect way to describe it! The coats were definitely the stars of the show along with the kisslock clutches imo. But overall yes, the rest we've seen before and it all fell flat and teenager-y. Haha don't apologize for the rant- I agree with everything you said!

HATE the scribbles all over the bags. if it were actual graffiti art I would be all for it. It's giving prison tattoo vibes. No thanks. The teddy bear bags are a no go as well. If I'm doing a shaped bag its going to be the heart bag from Alaia. The over-sized kiss lock clutches are cool without the scribbles.

The collection was interesting. There wasn’t a lot of practical bags, interesting that they only did 3 bag styles. I wonder what other bags will come out in the spring.

I love a kiss-lock and a frame handbag. I have been wanting a Vivienne Westwood Granny Frame handbag for a couple years now. The kiss-lock in general is nostalgic for me because my grandfather used to carry a little brown leather change purse in his pocket. I recently bought a large red Dooney and Bourke kiss-lock and I love it. I wouldn’t mind having one of the Coach Kisslock frames purse with the chain. Like you, Caleb, I would like the clutch only if it comes with a shoulder or crossbody strap (or chain). The leather on these bags looks so good.

Hey Patty! The kisslocks are so cute, and very similar to the Granny Frame bag. And that's a great thing to remember when looking at a kisslock, I love little nostalgic memories like that. I'm excited to see these kisslock bags in person- I'm hoping they have the straps too- that will make all the difference!

I love anything kiss lock! So drawn to that. My favorite is the small, so cute! The stickers and graffiti were to me (safe space) like if you were still in high school kinda look how you would decorate your book covers or binders/folders vibe. Plain I’m here all day for it. And I like the giant gummy bear as a novelty 😂 propped up in a purse room or something. 🧸

As a Coach employee, I can say with near 100% certainty that all of the stickers and appliques displayed on the bags in this runway will indeed be part of the Coach Create program, which select store participate in. If you go online to the Coach website right now, you will be able to preview our new chain tabby in a standard variety of colors without all the appliques.

Love this video, Caleb. I agree the oversized kiss lock is the star of this collection. If they added an option to have a handle, chain, or strap to the bag, it would make it more practice versus just being whimsical. Under Stuart's leadership, you can see that Coach moved from being a " good handbag" company to now being a part of the fashion industry trendsetters giving other brands real competition in this market.

I get a kick out of the oversized kiss lock. I wish I could have seen the Tabby bags better. I love the giant kiss lock clutch. It is just fun. I can do without the graffiti.

Don't u dare gaslight us with that thumbnail!! Edit: okay I only saw snippets and basically everything I loved so I was blown away. The clutches are the vibe. Even if the bear and dinosaur come in half the size of those jumbo clutches I'd still grab one. A black dinosaur I could vibe with. I think the collection looks equally focused on identity and consumer so I appreciate that. I hated their identity crisis since those ugly coachies bags. ... as u mention those ugly bags with hands and eyes 😂 love us!

The biggest oversized kiss lock clutch is edging into Borrowercore territory, like a Borrower found a little tiny coin purse and is using it as a tote. I’m kind of a sucker for Borrowercore!

Tbh I found this collection and runway presentation to be confusing af. I get the personalization aspect, but it seemed kinda all over the place and not very cohesive. The giant bear bag was everything tho lmao (mostly cuz it was ridiculous/meme bait lol)

The graffiti bag reminds me very much of Balenciaga's Graffiti collection 2017. Substitute white for black and it's similar and a bit mer... I like the little kiss lock clutch, it's *very* Vivienne Westwood Granny frame bag. The larger ones will be heavy. The big brown bear, the black seal was it?? Hmmmmm... I loved the video though, more than the runway show to be honest 😅

Oddly enough, with the graffiti Tabby/kiss lock, it gives that vibe of you can take it out as a daily driver and not worry about keeping it clean etc. They look like you shouldn't baby them. I appreciate that. However, Coach quality does not equal the prices they are asking lately imo. Hopefully this collection proves me wrong. As for the Big kisslock clutch.. Ridiculous! Maybe use it as a travel bag you can stuff it and use it to sleep on. The puffy ones are ridiculously stupid looking. just my opinion..

Hmmm, I’m completely underwhelmed by this collection. I have to add I do like the empire bag, I just ordered a 28 in maple. I like graffiti, but not this graffiti. I love the LV graffiti bags from years back, and would sell a few bags to get my hands on a speedy in olive. So this coach iteration isn’t it. Stickers, no thanks. I liked some of the leather jackets though!

Those large clutch bags are so NOT practical! All that graffiti, they don’t go with everything for every occasion, and those bags that go under the armpit, I don’t see them as attractive looking bags.

Hello Caleb! I am a small structured bag girl. I don't like a bag that becomes a leather puddle when placed on a table. I bought the Runway Chain Tabby for the reasons you named ! It has a structured body with a slouchy flap. The full grain honey colored leather is luxe. It came with two straps, the detailed chain and a multi piece bag charm dice, a metal feather , leather flower, metal and enamel snail, leather wrapped donut all hanging from the same leather laces. It's gorgeous! I'm thrilled with it. In the future, I'm excited about the the small kiss lock clutch. I think the stickers and graffiti look childish. I'm not a backpack person. All of the ready to wear left me flat. I think having the show outside on the Highline is bold. What do you think plan B is if it rains?🤔

i have to agree w your recent coach takes. i was super excited for the larger nyc charm cluster that recently came out. whenever it came in the mail, the apple was already scuffed up, the statue of liberty was really heavy with a poor paint job, and the taxi was very plastic-y and cheap feeling. it really slapped the rose colored coach glasses off of me, and i returned it the same day. i'm focusing more on vintage coach and the early 1941 rogue days.

Thank you, Chris. As a customer of the brand for nearly two decades and having worked for them in the past, I feel like my current take is pretty spot on. But we’re all entitled to our own opinions. I’d love to hear yours.

@@CalebSnell I have been a Coach client since the 90s and I've also worked for them. I don't feel brands especially established brands like Coach need to release huge collections. I firmly believe Coach is quintessential American luxury. Suggesting they release more styles at the same time would suggest to me that they would be operating like a fast fashion house. I think Coach maturing as a brand and trying to hone in on its current success. Doing too much too fast has been the downfall of many brands. It's easier for things to get lost in fray when there isn't a central focus.
