My Honest Opinion on Nandos

NOW I KNOW, I'm going to get comments like 'you ordered the wrong thing, you should of got this, this and this' but thats the beauty of having a menu, you can pick whatever you want to eat from it, there is choice, variety is the spice of life as they say....You need to watch the full video to get my full opinion, it changes a lot.
If you actually read this little box should I do that cringe thing where youtubers say write something in the comments, but I feel like thats too much? So how about answer this question:

Apparently its a mix, I had to read in to it because I was a bit puzzled, but the peri peri chicken is Portuguese but it was founded in south Africa or something? So I may have gotten a bit confused! Our local nandos donate all the chicken they didn't use that week to the homeless shelter I volunteer at. It all comes precooked and frozen and can be cooked straight from frozen :p

I might be a vegetarian but Nandos is still life! My go to order is their veggie wrap (with falafel not roast veg), tangy tomato sauce and peri peri chips 😍

The Nandos close to me has pretty moist? chicken. The inside isn't fully flavored but it's certainly not dry or that bland.

I don’t get how there meant to get the flavour all through. And they couldn’t risk making batch of spices as they don’t know what’s going to be popular and food would take a lot longer for your food to come out

The red butterfly box, if you pull the sides, it opens into a plate. The chicken is marinated with the same throughout, they just didn’t grill your piece long enough.

Just had my first Nandos.... totally overrated. It's like the chicken you can buy from Sainsbury's over the counter from a rotisserie only with a bit of a kick, exception being Nando's cost 3x the price.

I've only been to Nandos once but had the chicken roulette with peri peri chips, was lovely imo (and then bought a couple of their hot sauce bottles). Also tbh fast food chips are nice but.. they aren't any match for your local chip shop. P.s morning is the best :>

5 guys is SO expensive! It's a marginally better quality version of McDonalds but for 4x the price. My husband loves it, I think it's as bland as my personality.

I’ve only been twice and I literally didn’t get it at all. It’s so big here (I live in Liverpool) and like I just didn’t like it?? Chicken is my favourite food yet it still wasn’t special at all.

Im from Portugal and there’s not a single nandos here even though their logo is our chicken😂 (galo de Barcelos) I had a friend from South Africa that was shocked we didn’t have it when she came here😂

There is also a franchise called, Galitos and Barcelos(in South Africa) which serve similar menus to Nandos. Nandos being the more expensive of them all.

Okay so here in Portugal they’re not that into marinating their meats. Which is why it is usually grilled with a bit of salt and then there’s a sauce that’s occasionally thrown over there. Also the chips here are usually a little soggy 😅 although they are getting better at making them crispy. but the Portuguese have one of the best garlic rice ever. Also SAUSAGES ARE AMAZING HERE This is a Dutch opinion on Portuguese food ☺️

I worked at an office that was wild about Nando's. They would want to go for lunch daily. Some of the driest, grossest food I have ever had. Very overrated

Trust me UK Nando’s marinade their chicken 😂😂 they don’t in Canada and it really makes a difference! I really miss U.K. Nando’s right now 😭

Nando is Portuguese, but some Portuguese people what were living in South Africa founded the restaurant so the food its kinda of a mix of both food. And btw that music that you played is not Portuguese 😊

GBK is so underrated. They’ve even had to close some of there stores over the last year or so. As an avid foodie and on behalf of my tastebuds though.....I really recommend! Going to a GBK is such a rare treat for me that I always get the same thing. I start with the Chilli Fried Chicken Bites, then have The Taxidriver burger with the skinny fries (the skinniest fries I’ve ever had) and double Belgium chocolate milkshake......also have the baconnaise dip.

I am a chips person too and i know what you mean with the nando’s chips, my fav chips have to be mcdonalds fries (burger king actually do verrrry nice curly fries!!) i lived in england for 7 years but now moved back to holland where im from and gosh even mcdonalds is just so expensive here?! I swear a mcflurry is a pound but here they are 2,95 which equals to like £2,60😭😭😭

I love the chips and I always usually get the grilled chicken wrap which is really nice. I'm scared to get the butterfly chicken or anything else so I normally stick to the wraps and burgers with lemon and herb. Nando's is defiantly overrated.

If they marinated the chicken, the risk of food waste is much higher. If fewer people want a certain flavour, they can’t use that chicken for anything else. Now they can use the plain chicken for all flavours. Plus, marinating is not always done for grilling food in general. Depends on the dish.

I work at Nandos so I understand all of this😂 •The food is always 10x better when eaten in store. •the food comes precooked with no baste and is basted on the day with the preferred spice. They couldn’t possibly cook all the way through with spice unless the chicken which was killed for it was infused with it😂 this is why we sell bottles of sauce for you to dip your chicken in. •the Pitta bread I agree was a bunch of crap(they recently changed the ingredients so I recommend trying it again) •chips are always hit or miss, if they’re given to you as soon as they come out the fryer they’re amazing otherwise they’re a soggy mess.
