BITS Pilani is a great and well established institute if you can afford their fee then go for that and check whether they provide an exit option after BE computer science or not. But if you cannot afford their fee then BS engineering in Bhopal is also a good option The same applies for IISER TVM

You have mentioned NISER >> IISER , but NISER does not allow outside projects - how much does this affect in exposure/opportunities. Isnt IISER better then? Or you suggest for Physics NISER is better? I think IISER also has earth and science dept and other i2 courses which NISER doesnt have - right?

In some scenarios IISERs are better but in most of the scenarios both are similar. I prefer NISER because of their fees and scholarship which really matters for middle and lower middle class people, I am one of them that's why being an IISER student I suggest NISER to my subscriber. But if fees don't matter for you then IISER has a far better tag value.

@@penandflute we have small temporary library and that library is serving enough, because most of the books you can get on your laptop or tablet which most people prefer everywhere. The construction of the new library is almost done and I think that will be functional by the end of this year.

Aasi bilkul nahi hai kii yaha bilkul placement nahi hai but baccha PhD ko prefer krta hai. During PhD you will get fine stipend and after PhD from top universities tumha tumha jobs kii koe tension lana wali baat nahi hai waa also secured hai. So you can start preparing for IISERs

Bhaiya i am passionate about science and i want to go in research field in physics , i am getting good nit as well as iiser , but my parents and relatives are saying that 11th 12th physics is fascinating so students think they should go in research ,but students get to know their real interest in college after some years, also my family's financial condition is not so good, so they say to join nit/iiit as their job will be secured if in future you don't wanna go in research. But i am thinking in nit/iiit i will be surrounded by job oriented people in contrast to research oriented people in iiser and i will not get much research exposure and research interships in nit , so at the end of 4years i will also become job oriented and probably my interest in research would end. Please tell bhaiya what should i do ?

Your parents are right at their place, every Indian parents wants their child to have a secured job just after graduation. Now it's completely up to you, both options are good for you. You have to decide in which carrier you want to shape your future.

Chemical sciences and if you are getting IISER TVM go for that because in IISER TVM we have i square chemical sciences course which is very relevant for industries

@@ShobhitRohilla that doesn't matter in future the median package of IISER BHOPAL will be more than 20 LPA. Still it's around 17-19 LPA you can check IISER Bhopal NIRF data. In NIRF data of sgits the median package is around 7.5 lakh with 60% of placement. In mechanical engineering even IITs students suffer for placement, my friend is in IIT Roorkee mechanical and he is also worried about his placement. The faculty and facilities of sgits is not even close to faculty and facilities of IISER Bhopal

Bhaiya is iiser tvm i² data science/mathematical science recognized by different universities..i.e iisc etc...if we decide to do mtech in cds after 4yr bs will i be elegible to do that...at iisc...unke info..brochure mei likha tha BS in any science discipline toh kya i² recognised hai ki natural science mei hi BS karna zyada shi hoga

After 5 years how you can become a researcher and if you are not a researcher then how you can expect high paying jobs in this field. You have to do PhD after BSMS to become a researcher and that's why 70+80% of IISER students go for PhD

Brother whats ur opinion on Doing Bsc from BHU then MS from IISERs...then would i have less tag value than a BSMS IISERITE or equal opportunity for getting Phd abroad....because nearly 2lac per annum for 5 years seems too much so what is ur opinion on this...I mean BHU is also very old and prestigious University...so pls clear this thing....

But who said the IISER fee is 2 LPA, maybe you seen fee students for 1st sem which includes one time fee. The fee in all IISERs are around 50-60k per sem including hostel fee. Mess charges are also around 3-4 k per month. Don't think about the fee the exposure IISER will give you is completely worth it.

IISER is not for money but after BS MS when you will go for PhD(abroad )you will get more stipend than what you will get here at TCS . Not all engineers get a high package just after the BTech completion if you are in IIT that's different. But after getting a BTech degree from a private institute or Tier 2 Tier 3 NIT very few students get a high package. So,IISER is not for money I don't think it's true but yes if you can't study then obviously IISER is not for you. Your opinion may be different but the same opinion I also had after reading some comments and answers in quora because most of those are from JEE,NEET aspirants and some are from those who want to reduce the competition so that they can get a seat.

@@Dipu588 I know bro you are not commenting to reduce competition but some are doing so I said that. You are right at your place you can do PhD after BTech but before that you have to crack Gate with a good score so that you can complete your MTech from a good university and if that happened then you will get a good opportunity to pursue PhD from a reputed university of abroad but IISER is already a reputed institute in this field so that after completing BSMS you will get great opportunity of PhD and a good stipend also. But what I am trying to say is that IISER is way better than doing Btech from a low ranking college because after completing BTech there is a very low chance to get a job with a good package that time you will again start studying for GATE so that you can go a good IIT for MTech so that you can get a good placement. In IISER also you have to study and after 5 years the stipend you will get is enough for you and your savings so it is not that you have to depend on your parents for a long time after 5 year you will be independent and after PhD there are so many options you can choose like professor in these colleges, you can teach in coaching institute,you can join as a junior scientist,you can do PostDoc also, there are government jobs also and many others. And Lastly obviously I will choose IITs or Good NITs and some top state govt colleges before IISER because everybody wants to earn money but I will choose IISER before low ranking colleges because I think I can earn more after IISER than those colleges.
