This video reflects my honest thoughts on the upcoming Season 14 of Sea of Thieves based on what we’ve seen in the Sea of News update. I share my excitement about the potential new features and gameplay elements teased, but I also address a few concerns or questions I have about how they’ll fit into the current game. While the update looks promising, there are aspects that I hope Rare fine-tunes or expands on. This is my initial feedback, and I can’t wait to see how the season actually unfolds once it’s released.

The next season needs to be called the "season of the repairs" this game is load with bugs, glitches, and cheaters. Walking on the harpoon was broken for so long ( I think it is still broken) now you have a harpoon gun. I have at least got 3 people banned. But it wasn't a IP ban.

Reddit really didn't like the change to the grapple gun bc they thought (for some reason) that the change to the blunder was made specifically to counter the grapple gun lol and now they want the one shot blundie back

Honestly I like the blunder change personally I never have been a fan of 1 shot anything in video games it's a massive crutch and thts facts imo if ur not able too get the 2 tap run sword I hope they keep the blunder in its current state it had its 6 yrs time ppl actually get good or sink

if next update could implement bounties on actual players or thier crew/ship that be sick we use our gold or dubloons to compensate the player to do if for us lol ik there is alliances and treasure to physically give n transfer but like if all players in lobby could see it on a quest board and have the option to do it that be cool and maybe better ways to communicate thru alliances in game. idk just some thoughts in mind. i hope somebody from Rare sees this.

I feel like they go overboard with a lot of changes. I like the grapple gun change. I like the Armory change. But the Armory change is made because of the grapple gun, and the grapple gun is changed because of CURRENT Armory rules. Doing both together feels weird. If you're locked in to the grapple gun it should be more versatile, because you only have one weapon. But honestly, it probably just shouldn't be able to interact with ships at all. Leave our boarding alone, we can still yoink treasure and that's gonna be fun as hell. Like the Blunder change. I like reducing the damage, and I like increasing the spread and knockback, separately. Together they just make the gun an even bigger hit regging never kill anything paperweight. But this is from a competitive point of view. So grain of salt.

Did he say that you WILL be able to grapple onto galleons? If so that is gamebreaking. I have played a gross amount of gally HG (700 in servants 100 in guardians) and if someone can just shoot over and deckshot to the anchor with the grapple gun then there is no counter to that, and you literally can't stop them from getting on. I haven't played the new season yet, so I really hope that I misunderstood what was said. If I understood correctly, then I hope that they patch it soon because that's just not gonna be playable.

Funny how they just keep releasing garbage we don't want in hopes we forget about the issues with the game. Like the server could be on fire and they would be like "Hey look, we are giving you rope to tie up other players with so you can steal their loot without contest" great, put out the fire so we can enjoy all these things. Also they are more worried about Theb having other accounts rather than banning active cheaters, their priorities are in wrong places, that's why I have moved on from SOT. Maybe one day they'll get some people in there to fix things before it's too late.

Blow darts and fun but boring and often useless to me most times. 1 example of how it's op it that it's broken is skeleton forts/camps. In the sense that explosive darts make them so so easy. you don't need to do a lot to complete them making them feel less rewarding. So there are some pros but also many cons in my opinion.

the gally is already the easiest boat to board. its almost impossible to get a board on a good duo thats on sloop now. legit only way you will get on is a deck shot or one of them are dead and they have ALOT of pressure. if your able to freely board a sloop your fighting bots. should just remove the harpoon gun completely. guilded voyages do not make up for their game not working 80% of the time either, especially not gold hoarder voyages the easiest trading company to level up, we deff dont need the gold from them bc they dont add anything to buy with gold

Agree. it's another nerf for larger crews in a game that was about cooperation. First the Brig is brought to a crawl and now the Gally is toast. Maybe they should just change it to a single player game and have done with it.

Not sure what you two are smoking, but the phrase 'strength in numbers' has some meaning behind it If they made all ships able to be grappled to, you'd have smaller crews be bullied even more than they already are And if 4 people cant defend from a boarder, no amount of nerfing new content will fix that I suggest reading up on the Burning Blade and thinking about why nobody solo crews it

@@decepticonsoundwave297My general point here is that, at its heart, the game was about cooperation. It's much more complex to recruit and coordinate a four person crew than play solo or as a duo. Making balance changes that give solo and 2 person crews an advantage over 3 and 4 person crews encourages players to play alone or in smaller teams. The social aspect of the game is the best thing about it. Servers filled with solo sloops are dull and represents a loss of something important.

Armory is a dumb change by itself. The same logic can be applied to other boxes on the boat but Rare doesn’t think about this stuff. It’s always tunnel vision until they mess up and get a bunch of backlash.

Not really if they lock the ammo box it’d destroy boarding entirely but locking the armory doesn’t but it does cause minor annoyance and ensures you need to have the exact load out you want before boarding especially with new weapons coming out

Season 14 is most likely gonna break Sea of Thieves. This is going to increase the amount of trolling and griefing. Especially if Rare doesn't fix their game and actually deal with these bad people quick. They should really start IP banning repeated offenders.
