As a mobile player with a 2020 oppo a9, investing in siege might be the answer. I will be starting to invest it in around 2 weeks from now once i max my archer comms

After 4 years of bad trades and getting close to quitting. I decided to make a siege march. Best decision ever. Good trades and fun to play. I still run my meta 3 marches in the field and one siege march

I agree that they need to tweak it cause it’s too strong right now and having a bunch of towers in game would make it not fun. I disagree about the murder ball part. If you want to bring the best 7 Marches out on to the field to win open fielding right now I actually think that would include 2 siege marches. They’re not this glass cannon that only trades positive when sitting in the back. They’re literally beating just about every March one vs one at melee range (with maybe the exception of Huo/Nevsky). The gaja/Babur pair can tank on the front lines and hold up better than any other pairing. Now do I think that should be happening? No. I think they should be way more fragile and limited but that’s just where it’s at right now

Agreed. I think siege power level needs to be cut way down. Something that requires such little effort and player interaction shouldn’t be beating the best marches in the game. Also, my point was less so that they wouldnt perform the best in a 7 march duel situation and more so in an objective based fighting situation when movement is needed. It’s undoubtably true that if you were to line up 7 marches, Vs 7s marches, the one running a siege tower will out perform the one not running one. Not taking aoe and still dealing more damage than all the other marches is very strong

Also, seige is my 5th march - I’ll be in the line pushing with seige support. Also, the game will always have a natural balance btwn line forces, seige, garrison, etc.

I am working on a siege march now as we speak. More variety of fun in fighting than just open field wave style

I totally agree with game not adding auto-battler since it will change the game entirely from rise of kingdoms into rise of bots(if it's not it right now) Also I believe the game should cut the siege's power a lot and removes its cooldown for turning into tower and removing it to be able to shoot whenever they want but not shooting like a Bazooka

Awesome video. I have my farms in a duplicated RoK client. Every one of them. I'm thinking of putting one engineer march on every one of them hahaha.

10:30 what's wrong with these people who thinks that when you invest in Ranged fighting, your traditional commanders evaporates? dude, most people will have ONE siege march, and that takes a very big toll on your GH, and you still will have to fight with 3 other "melee" marches, not only to protect your arrow tower (believe me, some crazy people will try to pierce thru the murder ball to kill you) but also to gain more KP and swarm flags. I have the impression that instead of ranged fighting as an ADDITIONAL strategy to the field fighting, they act like it's a full commitment to it, with no other alternatives 😑 I recommend investment on Ranged fighting for everyone who wants to have additional depth into open-field fighting. It is marvelous, and gives a completely new breath of life your account! Trust me, it will be the most fun and worth investment you have ever made! EDIT: also the autoplay part you've mentioned couldn't be more far away from the truth you indeed can abandon your tower if you have people protecting it, but ideally, what you want to do, is to reach for those red-health enemy troops retreating, and wreck the sh1t out of them AND THAT IS A L O T of fun! It's not like your building the tower, and going for a cup of coffee you are actively pushing the enemy away, giving space to your muderball to advance, and targeting specific troops - ZL, GY, etc - troops you know need to be pushed away as soon as possible. it is a very dynamic and unique gameplay, and not boring/simplistic at all!! You should make one and try for yourself, instead of assuming how the whole dynamics of the fight takes place! EDIT2: OH yeah, also, try to freaking rally an enemy flag when their murder ball is protecting it so you can REMEMBER what happens! If you think, that having some 5 players of your kd, with maxed ranged tower completely WRECKING the heck out of the enemy murderball, forcing their retreat, so you can gain space to swarm a flag, and halt enemy reinforcements is useless - then think again! ... and here's one information for you, that you don't know, because you don't play Ranged combat: their peak performance is when they are DEFENDING a rally/allied flag! I'm talking about 20k for 300k sev wounds consistently! With purple gear! but hey keep ignoring Ranged combat like everyone else!

This video is just theory. How is it possible to make a video about sieges without having one? I don't have sieges and therefore I don't write anything about it. I can only say one thing: all the detractors have no sieges, so their point of view is worth little.

I have a phone that's pretty old, and have trouble fighting properly with the poor UI and weak march, so I think siege might be the answer for me

You haven't watch Mr. Siege have you? Siege can outrun cav ffs. Do your homework first. And as players move towards 7 marches it'll be nice to have a march or two auto-battling.

He is not talking about their speed on the map, but rather the setup time. It is difficult/impossible for siege to react to changes in the battlefield. Like capitalizing on a push/anchored rally for example.

Just imagining getting hit by an active skill from someone who you cant hit back, hurts my brain to hear. If anyone seeing this knows of world of tanks or warships, the entire community for both games hates the role of artillery where they are literally sitting at the back of the map hitting you with zero retaliation unless your team steamrolls and kills them

thats why i also dont like sieges . i want to have fun playing with my troops , i dont want to build tower and let it fight for me . if i wanted to play auto battle game i wouldnt play rok

Have both. If your hands get too tired of moving troops around, send siege march fighting and helping the kVK fights. :).

I believe you did not think this through enough. You can’t argue that they are not a winning concept for winning a kvk and at the same time risk ruining the game making it less interactive.

My point is more a projection of what is to come if the game continues down the path of automated combat significantly out performing choice based combat. Something can be ~niche~ but still be a poor design.

Nothing can be worse than click and retreat times a million, it’s horrible to fight on the field especially on mobile phones

@@BigKaneRokI don’t necessarily see it as a poor game design. Right now we don’t know what sort of tactics or potential siege has from a macro perspective. I believe it can be used and played against strategically. As for the long term design issue… I THINK as long as you can freely interact with your opposition strategy/skill will win out. But I could be proven wrong.
