I bought my Playstation 3 to play Uncharted and GTA IV. I bought Uncharted solely on the fact that the song "Dissolved Girl" by Massive Attack was used for its trailer. I have no regrets.

i completely agree with you, i really want to go back and play the uncharted 3 single player but i just cant enjoy it even close to as much as Uncharted 2 and the uncharted 3 beta was GOLD, it was lightyears ahead of the uncharted 2 multi player but naughty dog went and fucked with something really good. Really hope that uncharted 4 is as good if not better than uncharted 2, if it takes naughty dog 3 or 4 years to make instead of 2 and its way better and longer, thats fine by me.

I think UC3's story was better because even though it was based on historic events like the other two, it focused on the characters' backgrounds more than the other two, making it more interesting and unpredictable.

@ilovedeadspaceandU2 I agree. The cover system in the game is not as good as everyone says. Sometimes I'll roll over in the opposite direction that some cover is in and the game will still take cover. I won't even be close to cover either.

uncharted 2 was by far the best and my most favorite game i have ever played. i started playing it durning the 2010 FIFA World Cup and that was back when they were adding the custom special event skins and stuff and that was when the series was at its peak (during Uncharted 2) then when the Uncharted 3 beta came around it became less and less fun then at the end of the beta it became good and subway promotion fucking ruined it. they started appealling to the new players not the old veteran ones.

That's what probably gonna happen cregan. ND has 2 teams now, one working on TLOU and another one (the UC3 one) working in another title. I've been following ND in twitter and they've been recruiting people for next gen games. They'll probably let the series rest, launch TLOU in 2013, announce UC4 in E3 2014 when Sony announces the PS4 and then launch it as a launch title for the PS4. That's what I'd do, but I know sometimes Sony has some f*cked up ideas and decisions.

I think they need to finish off the ps3 experience with uc4 then if they want they can make some more for ps4 of ND feels they will have a good story i think all the uncharted's are great i feel they can keep finding ideas and keep uc going for a while longer.

U3 has more insight into the relationship with Drake and Sully, and it has a rather strong story.. It just needed little more pushing.. U2 was just better executed, but if I had to choose between finding treasure in the Himalayas or the Arabian Desert I would definately choose the Arabian Desert..

Well, UC2 had a beastly story. UC3's story was also good, but was very focused on Drake, and not as much of the adventure. Sure it gave UC3 a deeper meaning, but UC2 was all about the adventure, and not so much the drama. But honestly, i love both games equally. UC2 is so simple and classic, while UC3 feels more advanced in gameplay. I can easily jump between games and have a great time. Although, i don't have a temper like some people do..... That probably helps me play UC3 :P

I'll tell you why; the ending was unimaginative. I'm not saying it was obvious but it just felt a bit lazy. Also, Nate and Elena had pretty much the exact same sub-plot as they did in UC2; they broke up between games, but going through the experiences they have in the current game, they realise they still want to be together and then the game ends.

I would have enjoyed the Fire Demons in UC3 if they were done properly and had a better developed background to them. If you come to think of it UC3 had the most interesting story, and the Arabian setting meant alot of potential it could have been way more than it was. Because Arabian culture is so fucking rich

Uncharted is done(at least for sequels) if you didn't realize, Drake learns he's throwing his life away doing what he's doing. Hence he takes Elena back and looks to finally continue a relationship.(he starts wearing their wedding ring) also if you didn't realize they got married between the 2nd and 3rd!

I think we will hear about the PS4 at E3. Sony will not be the last out of the gate again. For those that will say "Sony said no PS4 at E3!!!!!", don't be surprised if that ends up being a lie. They might be doing it just to fool Microsoft.

There are some great moments in U3.. It is a memorable experience, just not as much as U2 but it was still a worthy one.. U3 had loads of great moments and just because its last chapters were very diappointing it doesn't have to bring down the quality of the experience it offered us.. Yeah sure U3 had some flaws (Elena and Chloe should have had bigger roles too), it was too short for its scope but damn it had loads of memorable moments.. I'd certainly choose U3 over Drake's Fortune atleast

It's gonna be a launch title. Drakes fortune was one of the first ps3 games. I believe it was a launch title. It took developers some time to figure out how to use the ps3 for its full potential. There is so much disk noise with that game. It sounds like a printer printing just because they didn't really realize how to use the ps3. There was a lot of screen splicing I guess you'd call it. Overall I didn't like it. When 2 came out I was so amazed. I just hope with 4 being a launch title that

Uncharted 2 was amazing. Uncharted 3 was pretty sweet too an had slightly better visuals then 2 but story wise I absolutely loved number 2. I felt like I was playing an action movie. But uncharted 3 brought some new things I've never ever seen in a game before. When your on the ship and it flips on its side because it begins to sink. So well done. And you know... Uncharted 4 for ps4 is perfect. But I worry. Here's why... In my next comment

Well I thought Charlie Cutter was a great new addition to the series.. And the villains in U3 are definately better than the generic villain in U2.. The story of U2 was better because it was better executed, but U3 had better locations.. And as for the set pieces I think this is a no brainer U3's set pieces were mind-blowing.. I do agree U2 was more polished, U3 needed polishing but as a whole U3 is a brilliant game..

Yeah, Uncharted 3 was amazing up until the plane crash.. I thought the only disappointment with the game was the last 3-4 chapters.. Up from the truck-to-horse chase (which I completely loathed for being a carbon copy of Uncharted 2's chase) till the end (which also I hated for being too anti-climatic and unsatisfying) those chapters were an utter disappointment. But on the other hand, I enjoyed Uncharted 3's set-pieces way more than Uncharted 2's.

It wasn't filler bro.. If you come to think of it, Drake was taken captive on the boat as a distraction so the bad guys could take Sully captive to the desert.. I could say the same thing in Uncharted 2's train sequence, Drake fights an entire army to rescue Chloe and in the end she just tells him off.. Now isn't that filler? The story wasn't all that weak, it was rather great.. It was just not executed as good, but certainly not disappointing.. Hell even Uncharted 2 ripped off other media..

If you're talking gameplay it goes 2 ways.. For the shooting system, UC2 is better, but for the melee UC3 is miles better.. The combat in UC3 was more realistic, and you could fight multiple enemies.. So it goes both ways

What else was weak in the story? The London Underground part was great, the French Chateau and Syrian Citadel part was awesome.. The Yemen and Cruise ship moments were amazing.. I think the part of the story which is week is the ending, other than that I think Uncharted 3 is almost like Uncharted 2, which also FYI ripped off other media.. Uncharted 2 and 3 have almost the same story, and if you come to think of it, Uncharted 2's story is not all that original as well..

It isn't a disgrace, it was just a disappointing effort. You can see by the rather week story and complete pushing of Chloe and Cutter from the storyline and then the tight fit of Elena into the mix which came off as messy. The story was sub par, with an entire hour and a half of gameplay being worthless when Drake sees Sully wasn't captive on the boat. That was blatant filler, and the rest of the story was simply built around the set pieces, with constant rip offs from other media.

I didn't like UC1's story that much.. I thought UC2 and UC3 were way better because they had mind-blowing set pieces and stuff.. I thought the sequels were way more Indiana Jones-esque than UC1.. your being to harsh on uncharted 3... It feels better, looks better, and in my own opinionthe story is better. it was a little easy though. my first platinum. MP may have little problems, but guess what? its a game learn to play it. i still get my ass kicked from time to time, mostly because i refuse to us anything but the M9. it's a challenge but you can move like never before. update 1.11 is coming this month and at least it nerfs all the kill quers in objective game types.

Mistakes aren't made. It's hard to make a game for hardware you can't really see in front of you and understand how exactly everything works. They probably use computer programs to mimic the hardware to test it but they can't physically look at the hardware. Maybe I'm wrong on that.... Let me know. I'm glad we get THE LAST OF US first before we move to the next generation of PLAYSTATION
