I'm in the process of buying a home in southeast Michigan. I just looked at one yesterday pictures looked great but once we stepped foot in the house I felt drunk because the floors were bowing every witch way. Then we go up stairs and the addition that was done in 2006 all the external walls were pushing out word at the top with major drywall cracking and pulling away. The basement was wet and could tell someone did a terrible patchwork to the foundation. The house was way under priced but not even interested in it at this point. Original part of house was built in 1920 but someone obviously added on to something that should have been knocked down.

Does the repair cost more the deeper it goes?
@EppFoundationRepair2 жыл бұрын
Joshua, yes and no. There is typically a set price up to a certain depth but anything over that depth can cost extra. Typically most company's will set that "depth clause" at a depth that is the normal so it is very rare to go over and cost the homeowner more money. Hope that helped.

What if it’s because of expensive soil?
@EppFoundationRepair2 жыл бұрын
That can be tricky. Expansive soil can cause a lot of issues and heave portions of the home. That's a tough question to answer without seeing the project. Those are using evaluated case by case. Sorry to be so vague.
