I have 3 styles of this metal feeder and love all three. Each has pros and cons but they are all well built and I can't say anything negative about the metal feeders. The plastic ones are a joy for squirrels and coons to tear apart and wreck. I really got sick of replacing feeders and parts due to those two animals. A bear is something else as they will do what they want with it. I know you were concerned about the rubber seal coming off during the assembly but from my experience after one year of hot summer weather and holding form by the lid. They are nice and tight with no issues. Hope you and all that own these machines enjoy and keep us all posted on the progress of due wear! Great video from one old fart to another!

I bought the Gamewinner 300 LB Cube Easy Feeder from Academy this year. I thought it would be great. Tested it empty and it worked fine. Took it to the field and filled it with corn and it would not work. Timer showed jam. It had a brand new battery as well. So I tried another new battery and still no go. I read some forums on issues with Gamewinner and there was a lot of talk that the timers are junk and think the 6 volt motor is pulling too many amps. But in reality the safety limit in the timer is too weak to operate the 6 volt motor at the amperage it needs to start and run. The recommendation I found most often was to replace the Gamewinner timer with a timer that is made in Texas called "The Timer." Si I bought one of "The Timer" timers on Amazon for $65.00 and swapped the timers out. The 300 Pound Cube Feeder threw cron great and has been for 2 weeks now with no hiccups. I would think that Gamewinner could fix their timers to actually work but I am happy with the fix that I found.

Same here Motor is week and jammed so I swapped for teh current one noe issues over a year or so. I say take it back to Academy and exchange

@@mrclean28h Well I got it on a Managers Special for $120.00 due to a slightly dented lid. So I am not upset that I had to but a quality timer to make it work. Installing "The Timer" timer fix all issues so far.

I just got one of these and we put it out today. First I like the size. I like that the spinner can be set to LO, MED, or HIGH spin. The quality and steadiness seems very good. Much better than the cheap plastic ones. The test shot the corn a good distance so as of right now, I am very happy with it. Time will tell.

I just got mine and it won’t spin. Seems like the corn is getting stuck on the bottom. You haven’t had any of this ?

I feel it is underneath the varmint area unsure about replacements at this time. I am going to look at it closer today for you. I saw the panel and removal screws there just not 100% sure

I have this feeder and the feeder plate wont spin. I tried two new batteries and the timer works fine, but the plate wont spin. With one battery it would barely spin at first but then quit altogether. Any ideas? Was thinking maybe a 6v battery isnt powerful enough

@@brianrice2021 I had that issue took it back got another one bigger and easier the 300 easy feeder so far both are working great. I know the 6v battery works and spins so if you just got it go to academy and exchange it is all I can recommend

Check the space between teh feeder and spinner I sometimes Geta big piece of husk in there

George got a question, have you had any issues with the feeder not flinging out corn? Seems mine barely shoots any out and it doesn't get off the base. I was thinking of drilling some holes underneath the base to let the corn out better.

How are the 225lb feeders doing? There are more negative reviews than positive but I like the design and price point.

One is doing great I turned the first one back in for another one the 200 lb one. I pretty sure there are negative reviews I did a little when I swapped out
