Novel Synopsis:
I have been with the movie star Hudson Wu for five years, and we have a daughter together, but I've always been his hidden lover, someone he can't acknowledge in public.
In the middle of the night, our child fell ill, and we took our daughter to the hospital.
Suddenly, we ran into the paparazzi. He quickly left me and our child behind, running away at full speed.
I was left struggling to take care of my daughter, who was burning up with a fever.
The next day, Hudson told the media, "There's no secret marriage, no girlfriend, and certainly no child..."
Looking at his confident face, I suddenly felt exhausted.
I packed up our things and left the villa with my daughter.
My daughter asked, "Mommy, aren't we going to tell Uncle Wu?"
My eyes turned red. My daughter is already four years old, yet she still can't call Hudson 'Dad.' She doesn't even know that Hudson is her father.
"No," I wiped away my tears, "Uncle Wu is just an uncle. He's very busy, so we shouldn't bother him."

Those people borned & raised her & reputation & honor is important to them (assuming this is Asian family as per the many hints) & the fact to them is blood is thicker than water in the end. Perhaps they slowly reconciled and began to change for the better (assuming since it wasn't explained/elaborated in detail & this is me thinking positively😅). How old is Hudson, and how long is his contract? He had a lovely gf and daughter and kept them like a dirty secret. He slunk around and was a coward. He missed out on the treasures in his life and world. He worked too hard to keep them in the dark for his career, but honestly, they were his best support. I'm glad that the FL was strong and career/family oriented. She started a new life and her career. She made a name for herself. She understood from the beginning that ut was her and her daughter vs. the world. Sarah is lucky to have a great mom, and she is very mature and reasonable. She'll be a wonderful woman.

I really like this story although it doesn’t have an HEA but it’s a good ending because it shows the strength of the female lead’s character. Same old trope where the male lead didn’t cherish her love for him and was too late in retrieving it. The daughter is just like her mother, strong willed, wise and mature for her age.

I feel like maybe if they stared once again it would have worked. Hudson was of course in pain as well for not being a father openly but he was wrong in stopping Nicole from pursuing her dreams. He remained faithful in their relationship and did not even pay attention to other female actresses. And it is true that in some entertainment industries artists need to keep their relationship secret for example KPop and KDrama. So yes he was at fault but he was hopeless as well. And of course Nicole has every right to be disappointed as well. We are not machines, we are humans and our patience sometimes really runs out. But now that she fulfilled her dreams and he was stable in his career they could have tried to rekindle their relationship from the start once again. Many might not agree with me but if we all start giving up on love then there would be no love at all. Love is not a smooth sailing fairytale. It is anything and everything. OF COURSE I WOULD NEVER SUPPORT A CHEATING ML but he was not. Trust me when I say this, sometimes husbands chose work over family just so that his family could have a comfortable life, and it does not mean that he does not love his family. But when he understands that his presence is needed in family time as well he will be there. BUT I WOULD NOT MAKE ANY COMMENT ON NICOLE'S FAMILY BUT I WOULD SAY THAT THEY DO NOT DESERVE HER AND HER DAUGHTER... But yes, not all break ups happen because of unfaithfulness. So in this case it would have worked if they tried once again. Remember, love is not so simple.

Of course what he did was not acceptable but it is a sad reality for some entertainment industry. There is actually a real life kpop star named Chen, a member of EXO kpop group who suffered huge backlash after it was revealed that he was actually married and became a father of a little baby girl. He was not actually unfaithful to his wife. He only loved her.

He made mistakes because of contract and later correct it. I don't need help because I'm not in favour of cutting ties with the person you love and who loves you because you have failed to communicate with him. She had sided with him and did everything he asked and without any warning, left him. At least she should have given him an ultimatum. I believe if a person was good to you, he deserves 2md chance & she failed to communicate her problems with him too. She did give him the ultimatum the next time they met. He just stayed silent. And ofcourse she left without telling him. He put her in a house arrest against her will. If you're not aware, that's a crime and anyone in real world would have put him in jail. And please don't even try to argue about that or else it will be laughable. Everyone knows it's a crime. And there's also so many other things too. Like he cares more about his career than his daughter's health. She was about to fall if Nicole haven't caught her in time. Nicole never agreed to be completely ignored by him. He was never home when her daughter needed him. Also she didn't try to steal Sarah from him. He could have met her if he wanted but only if he publicly acknowledged her. Which he did and only then she met him. And there's also so much more that I can say about him. But I just don't want to rn. Also she clearly said she doesn't love him anymore. No matter what kind of excuses you give, people will drift apart if we don't have any time for them. And you said she never communicated with him. Whereas it is clearly mentioned that she talk to him about this multiple time but he just dismissed her. And he never tried to communicate with her. He only give small responses. This are all mentioned in the story. So it's clear they are all just excuses for him.
