I agree so much with you guys. I came to America from Jamaica and my first. job was at a dollar store. I barely made ends meet but it was something. I moved across state from NY to New Jersey for a job at a clinic. I met 2 nurses. One a Nigerian and the other a Jamaican nurse. They both encouraged me to go to nursing school. Today I am a nurse and make decent money. I have my own house, car and I am comfortable. The bottom line is we have to start from nothing to get somewhere. I am so grateful for those two ladies to this day.

You all are absolutely right with this advice Ling and Lamb. My Nigerian husband heard me listening to you all and made me start it over. He noticed that what Lamb was saying is the same way he felt and I was like Ling. I wanted him to focus on attaining his goals that he set for himself while I worked. I made enough money but he was determined to work and I became upset when he didn't listen to me. My husband is next to me co-signing everything Lamb is saying. He said that's a real husband. I truly enjoyed this video. Similar thing happened to me. My girl is European and I am Nigerian. I remember at a point I was unemployed, my woman was doing everything and even helping me pay back a loan I took while in Nigeria, I was super worried and I kept telling her I can never be okay watching her do those things all by herself. She kept telling me to calm down and pursue my dream but I told her I've lost passion for that dream, I just want to earn money and support her as well. I eventually got a certain job at a warehouse where I load and unload heavy boxes from 8pm to 8am, was hectic but I had to do it until other doors opened, not there yet but still hoping for better days.

As a woman I'd like to say we do things for the people we love. It's really not a big deal for us as long as the people we help don't take advantage. We love knowing we can take care of the ones we love because we can be in the same boat. We never want the ones we love to lose sight of their dreams. Life goes to fast and as long as that dream is being worked on and not forgotten all is ok. Just don't forget what you wanted out of life.

He has always found a way to provide for us, has never gone without a job, he went to school for jobs that should be paying him a lot of money, but they refuse to give him an opportunity based on something that happened over 17 years ago, yet he still provides for me and our children and never ever makes excuses. That's how it is with my husband and I right now. I'm in the army and was station away from new york city, our home. So when I moved to Fayetteville, NC my husband had to come along with me and leave his well paying job. He had better aspirations but his job in New York was good at helping him pave the way. But here in Fayetteville, minimum wage is 7.50 and my husband vowed not to do it because it was 4 times less than what he was making before. So he continued searching and found a better job working from home because we have a 19 month old now and he couldn't work during the time I work and we didn't want our baby at daycare. So now he's able to work from home part time and watch our baby.

I still think you're missing your calling as life coaches. I love the advice you give. It's practical, logical and put in such a way as to get people to stop and pay close attention to what is being said and how it can apply to their own lives, their own situation. You guys rock!!! 🙏🕊️🕊️🕯️🌈

@@lisaphillips9991 yes! So true. Ling happens to be absolutely gorgeous and possesses all of the other attributes for a great find in a wife but there are many out there that are not being considered simply because of outward appearance who are every bit as good! I tell my single friends it's that man's lost who is not seeing your value just because you may not fit the trending "beauty" standard. So many men are losing out because of this.

@blueindigo76903 жыл бұрын
@@lisaphillips9991 A lot of women like her? I don't think so. She checks off all of the boxes that WE want. From loyalty, attractiveness, being supportive, heart, class, femininity, pleasant to be around, brains, potential mother & temperament. It isn't that common at all to find one who is solid in all areas. As far as looks are concerned...this isn't necessarily true. Men are very visual...and we need to be physically attracted to our partners...just for the sake of chemistry & procreation. But many men could work with average. The problem is...women lacking in this area often don't make it up in other areas. They lack in so many other areas too. The real issue today is that most women have a warped idea of what a man & a relationship is supposed to look like. Their expectations are not based in reality. Have you ever heard the women who call in to Kevin Samuels? I'm not a Kevin Samuels fan...but his youtube channel does provide some insight into the minds of women. The most common thread of the women who call in is that all of them (ALL of them) demand a man who earns six figures. He must earn six figures before they will even talk to him. Meanwhile, she's average and has children (often by deadbeats & bums). This is despite the reality that men earning that much only make up 1-2% of available men (men of color especially). Many of these women get this warped view from watching too many Reality TV shows like Real Housewives of Atlanta...or any other similar programs (the list is endless). They internalize these shows and want to become the women that they see. Some even believe that they are the women they see on these shows. This is a demographic/community phenomenon....not isolated cases. This woman had very good parents...and a good father...and had a mix of boyfriends (various ethnicities) before Lamb. She benefited from her family structure and because she didn't buy into the RHOA b.s. My original commentary stands stronger than ever. This woman is a damn unicorn. She is a rare gem...and I am openly jealous of Lamb at this point...and I would tell him that to his face. 😁😂.

- What type of individual was Melissa's husband before marriage/the 5years ? - What were his work ethic ? - Does he have interests his wife isn't aware of? - Do they have a child/children ? - To defend himself, what would be his reply to his wife's message to Ling&Lamb? - is there any form of disability he has? I think answers to these questions will help one fully understand the situation and tell whether the husband is lazy/needs help or not. Btw, Lamb still says petrol station 😂😂

Thanks for the input. My advise is that, it is better to start from somewhere that not start at all. While it is good to pursue your dreams, you can volunteer or work for minimal pay in that field where you really want to work, perhaps you can be connected to the job you really want from there
