My ICD: My First Shock Update #2 July 31, 2018

Thanks for these videos. I had 2stents implanted in April. They just did another catheterization because I blacked out. They said the stents were ok .My cardiologist said that I should talk with my electrophysiologist about a defibrillator/pacemaker. I have had episodes of V- tach and PVCs. My uncle had his first defibrillator implanted when he was around my age (70). Over the years it was replaced twice. He out lived the first 2 and lived to be 82 1/2. I’m going to try to beat his record.

Thanks man. Had mine stuffed in me 4 weeks ago and it freaks me out but I have been educating myself through online information and videos from others like you and it really has helped calm my ass down some. Had a quadruple bypass and right after this little friend stuck in me. Horrible surgery. Hard recovery for me. I was in hospital 17 days. Complications. Grief. But I am now doing amazingly well. Sorry to hear that. I have an icd. Got blasted bout 12x now. I know the whole thing sucks and gives you anxiety on top of everything. The only thing I can say eat healthy -don't drink & don't smoke. Sometime if you feel like you having an arythmia try coughing. Also stay away from alternators. High voltage power tools and absolutely welding machines!

I have a pacemaker/defibrillator and am taking metoprolol. Not looking forward to my 1st shock! Thanks for the video. It helps inform the rest of us.

I know this is old but I got an icd a month ago. I also get pvc’s, about 100 an hour. No one is concerned. They are about my pulse going into the 40’s at night, and I get heart pauses, where my heart just stops for a while. Both are corrected now.

I read in one comment on another video that he died in February 2020
