I really hope that they give Arachne a full rework that gives her much more of a focus on zone control. It currently feels like her identity as a weaver, which is the main detail within her mythology, is just kind of missing.

-Arachne 1 stick to walls and can make her walk into that wall and jump over it or stay still there -Fafnir can get the Shyvana treatment( the longer he is in the fight the more his ult stays up)

With Nox being the Goddess of darkness, why not make her 2 actually blind people. Enemies caught inside it cannot see outside, and the mix in your idea with the pseudo silence where they take damage from using abilities, then still have it explode. This would make her much fairer to go up against. She drops the 2 down, you now have the option to jump away but take damage, but you cant see where your jumping too, if you dont just she can root/cripple you, locking you inside the explosion. She still has her massive burst damage, but it's not an instant beads burner and you still have a chance to not die instantly.

For Arachne I had an idea of removing one of her self buffs, downgrading her ult to a basic ability(making more like Hu Yi's original leap where he can hover and move a little), and then making her ult something like a trap-door spider type of thing. Think something like Heimdar Bi Frost but maybe have something like a trigger where when an enemy goes near the trap door Arachne can teleport there.

Completely agree with making her ult her new movement ability but toned down significantly. Move her webs to her passive and have it like agnis ultimate where she can store up to three uses of that ability.

I think the way to do Erlang justice is while his 1 is active, he marks targets after hitting them with a certain amount of basics - then his 2 consumes the mark to cripple as well as root, his 3 consumes the mark to knock them up, etc

Arthur already has arguably the best passive in the game. The glad Shield procs are cool but make it a passive for leveling his ult. 1/1.5/2/2.5/3%

Maybe the Fafnir change could have something to do with gold in hand, as it is his theme. The more gold you have, the longer you can stay,, it would tie it in with his passive and bring interesting playstyles where maybe you prefer not to buy an item so you have a longer ult duration, or sacrifice duration for the item stats

This is a great list. Surtur: yes, yes, yes. I like Surtur, but the idea for him being a fire GIANT for a short time and building stacks more quickly would flow better with his kit. Erlang: I miss the knock-up. Not really a conquest player and I don't play him much in slash, but it was great peel when I played him in assault (since he would usually be the team's main tank). King Arthur: that could be good. Arthur hasn't felt very fun since the gladiator's shield rework, but he was pure pain to play against before it was changed. Hades: a cool idea, but sounds like a balancing nightmare. Hades having a weaker late game is part of what balances him out with his insane early pressure. I'm not completely against this, but it could be super annoying. Ratatoskr: new acorns with some active items would be really good. I might make it 2 mostly damage and 2 mostly tank (like the current version) with 1 damage and 1 tank each having active options (and the other for each category having a better passive). Skadi: a neat idea, but a great deal would depend on what her new second ability was. If it was a leap/dash, she might become way too difficult to gank with her cc plus an escape.

What if Surtr's Ult was more like Pantheon from League of Legends? Wider AOE radius, long range, and faster, but he can not redirect it mid-air, and he is locked in place for a bit to charge up the launch into the landing? That would be an epic engagement tool, and it fits hus theme as the fire giant! I don't want him to be big and W key as an ultimate, because that's kinda what Vamana exists for tbh.

Add teleport to Morgan Le Fay's 3 - it should have similar function to Susano 3. Morgan lore includes teleport and her Smite release trailer includes teleport. IMPLEMENT IT!

(huge textpost from a game design major to give my thoughts on the changes I feel strongly for or against) do keep in mind that surtr's flairs are specifically references to the fire giant aspect of his history, the meteor is a very large important part of that idea. If they do change the ult I'd much rather it either keep the meteor in some way, or be a more direct reference to the moves of the fire giant. I could potentially see the ult being the lava line, where he slows then damages and knocks up enemies in a large line in front of him. It'd be simple but it'd be more synergistic with his playstyle and keep the thematics of referencing smites former big boss. King arthur passive idea is fun but we've learned from evil mojo that giving benefits for reserving power makes characters feel really bad to play. Terminus had a system and gimmicks where the more of his resource is gathered and stored the more benefits he'd get in stat boosts, and that made it so people never used his only ranged ability because it consumed that resource and it felt horrible to need to make that choice. They recently changed it so that every shot you hit from his resource draining ability made it a lot easier to gain that resource back, making his play style less of "hoarding the wealth" and more "cycling pressure and power". That sort of balance shouldn't work for arthur though because his resource is tied to his ultimate which is a very powerful tool, and shouldn't be easily cycled the way it sometimes can be. i love the idea of baking glad shield into a god kit, especially all in warriors like arthur and cu cullain, it's just humans have huge loss aversion, and players hate losing perceived power when using moves (its why charybdis feels so horrible) Do love the hades change, especially with the new damage system. Make the spirits scale off health and or strength and you get more of a commander style character that fits well in solo lane. It'd be cool if it also fed into his ult in some cool way but the best I can think of right now off the top of my head is the minions trying to push and drag gods closer to hades by body blocking and stuff, makes it harder to escape. That's a bit weak conceptually tho so idk workshop it some more. I actually think I agree with the arachne idea conceptually since it fits the brood and PvE playstyle design her kit is supposed to have. Sort of like a pseudo Zagara from heroes she's designed more for roaming and stripping power and xp away through extremely efficient yet vulnerable tools. If left to her devices she's devastating and her impact will be ridiculous but if she's caught out alone there's no way for her to get out without a good outplay or team backup. If that were her ult though I'd want the wrap to be balanced differently, making the wrap and stun part be a god specific thing and having it be a more unique on camps. My current idea is that instead of 3 hits to stun 1 person its 3 hits that stun each one hit if its a non-player character. I just want to avoid buffing her in any pvp way because that makes her extremely frustrating to fight. (oh also give her a passive please) idk about the Nox one because I do really dislike her current direction, but I don't think this fixes the issues. If anything it'll raise player frustration on both ends: enemies can't even kill the nox inside the full defense unkillable xing tian when she kit dumps safely, its endless reward with zero risk. Ally nox's will also get frustrated more if the person they do go inside don't do things they want like breaking the tether line or pushing outside of the silence. I think the starting place for rebalancing nox is the raven first and foremost. her silence and dash are both effective and cool and work within their own context as abilities, the raven though is horrible. its the thing that makes the shroud feel unfair and if used on its own its the most underwhelming damage mage ability in the game because it locks her out of doing anything else. That ability needs to go. (oh also give her a passive as well please) hmmm I fuck with the skadi change a lot. Makes it a lot more readable for her opponent how powerful kaldr will be and also gives a larger focus on his secondary abilities since I bet most skadi players couldn't even name *all* of kaldr's powers. If I had to choose what would replace it as an ability I'd wanna maybe go for something that enables kaldr while limiting skadi herself, to emphasis the power fantasy of "feeding them to the wolves" while not creating those hated situations where it feels like a 2v1. I think a really creative way to do it would be to make her 2 a toggle, it switches her 3 basic moves to three enchantments for kaldr with the ult being the cancel button, and she can choose one enchantment to make him more powerful in a way like giving him more pips, more attack speed, or somethin else. granted though this defeats the whole point of removing him from the kit and making his command tool an item, so it might be better to just make that a new gods thing instead. At minimum it could just be like... a cold wind that pushes enemies back anhur style, makes it so they cant chase you over ice giving her a better get off me tool and separates kaldrs from skadi to make them more independent. Hell you could make it give kaldr temporary immunity or just a heal to his pip count if he's caught in the wind so that it isn't extremely easy to get him off of someone instantly.

oh I also guess I should say what gods I'd minorly change and how since I'm being all hoity toity and I want to show that my ideas aren't also subject to disagreement heh. Bakasura: make devour him lashing out a tongue in a line that eats the most valuable minion selected if possible, and make it damage gods and give them some sort of debuff against baka specifically. Make it so they take more damage from his basics or something to give it an actual purpose on engagements, and allows his kit to be toned down in other places by giving him an actual 4th tool for combat. Aphrodite: honestly more just quality of life but make the kiss not a tether but a distance based buff. Make it so walking outside of Aphrodite's influence range stops its effects from being transferred to her partner but also allows them to actually separate without feel bad about it since you can just walk back in without aphrodite needing to rekiss and waste mana. Allows her partner to be way more aggressive and independent in minor ways in which players wouldn't before because breaking the tether is so discouraged. Plus the beam looks ugly just make it a red lovey circle with hearts coming off of it at their feet that goes grey when they're not close enough to her to get effects. (also helps her thematic since it implies every time t he person she's targeted are instantly awestruck with her whenever they get close hehe) Cabrakan: I honestly love Cab's design because of one simple mechanic on his 1, the immunity to diminishing returns. I want more emphasis put on that, make it so the damage boost is a bit lower but it is amplified to its current or even higher damage if you hit someone who is already stunned (or maybe another effect idk how I feel about giving cab more damage). That way it combo's off of his slam (making it clear that the slam is his engage Attack not the 1's hit), and also allows him to capitalize off of his ADC's potential CC as well. Cab's power fantasy is a sort of "beat them while they're down" sort of thing Where he's stronger and more effective against enemies who are at disadvantage, so let him force those situations more and make the player instinctually look for it. Chernobog: Idk how to change it but just get rid of the ult its so lame and polarizing. If you want to keep the idea of him becoming a living nightmare haunting up on people there's so many better ways of conveying that then how it currently is. I have never once used Chernobogs ult and gone "wow I deserved that". Izanami: I desperately want them to revisit the idea of her ult being to literally drag people to hell. Her ult is so underwhelming and lame right now and when she was being datamined it sounded SO COOOOL. Way I could see it being cool is to make the circle an execute that kills at like...30-40% BUT: It does so by making the enemy god a vulnerable spirit only izanami can interact with and damage like a cerberus ghost. If she hunts them down and kills them in time then boom they die and if not than they "escape hell" and are returned to being a living being. its an execute that isn't an instant "fuck you in particular" button, it does make the enemy basically useless for maybe like 6 seconds max, but there is actual counterplay if the enemy team is able to protect the spirit from izanami. and it also plays SO MUCH more into her lore and character. Mercury: Stupid, but, change the icon of made you look and special delivery. Why is the icon of him dashing not the dash and why is the icon of him punching not the one where the HE QUICKLY PUNCHES PEOPLE. Morgana: I'd honestly want the special effects on her 1 to be based not on a choice but off of comboing another move. Or hitting gods after certain criteria. As it stands there's no reason not to always hit the fear rune, and its annoying. Make their effects reactive not proactive and the ability becomes so much more manageable. Ullr: He's extremely hated to fight because it feels like out of all 6 of his moves only one of them matters to avoid, and that's really lame. He has two axes right? Make it so serqet style he throws two projectiles and each axe leaves a debuff if it hits. Make it so the debuff makes the god stunned if hit by another of ullrs abilities, so if he hits the nasty double axe the stun feels more balanced and fair to get hit by, and makes his bow stance abilities not feel so pointless by allowing them to also snipe the stun. that's all I can think of for now lol

For persephone - when you hit an enemy god with your basic, the closest flower to them activates and runs towards the enemy. Ult is an auto attack steroid, which gives you 100% attack speed for the next 5 seconds. While the ult is active, hitting an enemy god with aa drops 2 seeds next to them, and after 5 successful hits you root the enemy, activate all flowers and make them run towards the enemy rooted

They could rework Thanatos and Achilles by removing them from the game. In a more serious manner they should just overhaul Vamana since without his ult being good he has the lamest kit in the game and he's already an aa warrior so there is already enough lame to begin with

0:28 If I might make a suggestion… The Ultimate could be split into 3 versions like Tiamats: ⚪️The first version could be the existing Ult, with the addition that if it kills an enemy god or AI Boss (Fire Giant or Gold Fury), he can cast it again, over and over as long as he keeps killing gods and bosses… ⚪️The Second Version would be your idea, where he would grow to be the size of the past or current fire giants, AND he gains a movement speed boost and full immunity to slows. ⚪️The Third variant would be a retune of the first idea, in that Surtr, while still on the ground himself, calls fourth a massive meteor at a designated location, and creating a shockwave at the point of impact that knocks up and burns enemies with DOT damage. The fallen meteor would then remain on the battlefield for 30 seconds or until being destroyed by basic attacks and damaging abilities, spawning fire imps every 5-10 seconds that would push the closest lane and savage nearby enemies.

Vulcan’s Ultimate: actually acting like a rocket! Getting to the target in a much quicker time; or treating it like Heimdallr’s teleport the shorter range the faster the cooldown. That could throw off preconceived notions of when ultimates are gonna be in play and keep things fast paced and variable.

I disagree with basing the arthur change being based on max energy its should just be at max stats on the passive and they can raise or lower the amount of stacks to balance the god instead of just removing this passive after everyone complains about it. That nox change is the unbalancable thing I have ever seen you cannot let a mage cast their kit while being untargetable bar none.

Tbh, you could go either way with Arthur, depending on what you want to accomplish. If he is supposed to be a monster in teamfights, go with your idea of passive stacks. But you could still go with an energy based one if you want him to be more of a lane bully/skirmish god, depending on whether he just gets it or he needs to lvl and scale with ult. Energy idea is harder to balance, but it would make him more vulnerable to early fuck ups.

Ideas for Chang’e changes: Make her Heal scale with level like Aphrodite and Hel, it’s a lil dumb that she’s the only main healer who’s group AOE heal doesn’t scale with level, simple easy change! Her heal isn’t as strong as the others late game, and this would eliminate that. Give a 1 second slow on her abilities if you hit an enemy two times within 3 seconds of the first, giving her some type of buff for stringing her attacks together would be a HUGE buff for her and would iron out the smallest bit of what she lacks in comparison to other mages. This would ensure you have to HIT multiple targets with BOTH of your abilities to get a slow stack. It would be INCREDIBLY powerful on her!

I think the best thing for chang'e is if her skills reduce cooldown and the more gods you hit the more you reduce your cooldown, since your skills does give movement speed for getting close quarters without the screen going gray every 2 minutes and all are based on dancing/entertaining moves, I think it's only fair for the dancer to make more dance moves, creating a more fluid/evasive character with a strong personality

Rat's acorn idea: each acorn active gives a use of his ability on a large cool down. Wouldn't work for the ult but could be fun.

i used to think that if smite 2 ever came out that they add customizable abilities where each god has more than 4 abilities & can pick any 4 of the abilities they choose for a fight & also ability effects if possible.

For Rat there should definitely be an acorn that changes what at least one ability scales with so rather than has almost completely limitless building potential

They mage the shield magical damage and leap physical damage, which means the only fun and satisfying thing about odin, obliterating people with the combo, just got (theoretically) harder

I personally think Arachne could do with a complete ult rework. I had this idea Loom of discord - Arachne weaves a shroud on the ground and casts it forward, dealing damage and applying 1 of 2 effects based on the shroud she weaves. the glorious shroud increases Arachne or an Ally's Movement speed and makes them immune to slows. The insulting shroud detonates on minions and sends a shockwave from it's location taunting enemies towards the shroud this is based on the weaving competition between Athena and Arachne which is the whole reason Arachne was turned into a spider in the first place- as punishment for her hubris and ego, talking down to the gods.

I think Nox’s 3 should provide mitigations, heals, or some other utility effect. This would solidify her as a CC/utility support character.

Sypvanus heal applies a speed buff to him or hit flower stuns instead of rooting. His flower should also apply a poison affect to those he hit or to enemies standing in the aoe. Or his grab can be changed into a thorn shirld like kuzenbo or a knock back

My Nox rework proposal: * Passive (Flame of the Night): Give Nox +2% damage mitigations per candle in addition to the +3% power increase (which becomes +3% Strength & Intelligence in Smite 2). Add synergy with the 3. * 1 (Shadow Lock): Decrease the base duration of the ability from 2 seconds to 1.5 seconds; If the enemy hit is currently silenced by Nox's Nightfall Raven, the duration is 2 seconds, and Nox heals herself each tick. * 2 (Nightfall Raven): Replace Siphon Darkness with her old 2, Nightfall Raven. Nightfall Raven can be used while Nox is channeling Shadow Lock. When used in this way, the Nightfall Raven only deals 70% damage, but it originates from the locked enemy instead of Nox, working in a way similar to Set's Skewer + Sand Clones. * 3 (Shadow Step): While Nox is inside the allied god's shadow, that ally gains the benefits of Flame of the Night. Nox can only stay in an allied god's shadow for a maximum of 6 seconds, down from 8 seconds. * Ultimate (Night Terror): Decrease the duration of the debuff to 3.5 seconds, and add a Xbalanque-style darkness effect to the debuff.

For fafnir add conditions to reduce his ult cooldown wether its every time he gains gold reduce it by a flat amount, gold provides cdr beyond cap only for ult with no cdr bought or give fafnir the opportunity to sacrifice gold to force ult but with this route his passive cap needs to be raised and granted some other bonuses

I want Baka to be able to eat god minions in smite 2, such as Arachne spider, NuWa soldiers and Surtr imps. It just makes sense and would be a nice QOL.

For Fafnir's ult I would do sth similar to rage, when he transforms he get 100 rage which decay overtime and can be slowed with def, cdr or sth like that, when de detransofms he regains rage with time or dealing dmg

nox, if she dashes into allies her passive should be given to allies in order to get that support feel. if she lands a root she should get another one.

Love all the ideas, except the Nox one. I think the idea of having a god enter another god and still being able to use their abilities from the safety of this mechanic will lead to only frustration to play against. A great example of that is actually a character that is specifically designed for that in League of Legends that is called Yuumi. Whilst she is an enchanter support and it has other issues with that as well which become even more prevalent due to this mechanic, one of the most annoying things about her is that you can't hit her or really punish her. I don't think Nox would be as annoying as that of Yuumi's I think it would lead to more frustration, especially with the amount of cc she has and her passive, I can see it becoming a problem real quick

How would you rework the stance shifters; which would you give the Tyr treatment (Keeping the new Ultimate, and the base abilities stay the same just with different effects), and which would you give the Tiamat treatment (different base abilities and Ultimate for the 2 stances).

For Nox instead I'd like her 1 and 2 cooldowns to be reduced when she's inside of an ally with her 3 like Discordias cloud plus it'd give them a fun nod to each other as mother and daughter Or maybe similar to scylla her abilities gain a 2nd effect at level 20 for her 1 maybe if she misses she gets a short windows to cast it again before it goes on cooldown For her 2 she can detonate it early depending on how early the damage is reduced For her 3 I'm not sure And her ult maybe it increases the damage reduction for 1 second longer for each god she hits with it

I know it’s unpopular but I really want a ult/passive rework on Da ji. Her kit is so focused on mobility and burst and her ult just roots her in place and her passive could be a bonus effect on her 1

I think with your surtr changes you could make him have a bunch of ccr and be displacement immune but not completely cc immune

Allow Anhur to throw his javelin ability during leap with it hitting for full dmg but only a root and cripple for the cc.

I hope they have less gods that rely on key items/passives to be viable. The thought of an item nerf causing an underperforming god to be unplayable is not a good sign for me.

I for once would like there to be skill add-on effects that help change the playstyle or role of a character, like for example, nox's bird could instead be wider and not root. Or make bellona's whip not disarm but apply a small dot/bleeding. Thanatos silence give a bonus dmg with autos in exchange for the range being significantly smaller Things of that nature that really diversify the gameplay roles and makes it more challenging/ difficult to have characters that absolutely dominate/counter characters because of that characters enforced playstyle and not actual weakneses. For example, bellona should dominate in an auto vs auto attacker battle with her shield. But she shouldnt dominate agaisnt a mage just because shes tankier. Tldr no more tank metas pls. And small add-ons for skills

that Skadi change would actally be easier with a controller though I think instead just make it so players can buy certain items for Caldur which could be a new feature for Smite 2 where Gods that have pets active like Skadi and Erlong players can buy items for their pets

I thought to just make Nox a Guardian (obviously), where she would be able to send out another cast of her 1 if she is standing within the silence field if she hits one enemy god. It would be similar to Ares' chains, so it would provide her with more utility than just single-target lockdown. Thoughts? @Inters3ct

I think fafnir should be more like Artio. Except swapping forms has a cool down so i guess it may be more like tiamat then. Dragon imo is a very superior form so abilities would have to be nerfed just a lil

hey Inters3ct, i got a video idea.. Give your opinion, thoughts, and back it up with some data, the order of smite 1 gods being ported to smite 2. you could use data such as play rates and compare that to the current gods confirmed for smite 2 already. give your thoughts on when you think certain gods will be released and such things as that. i just wanna hear opinions on when certain gods will be released (even if the opinions and data do not mean hi-rez will be adding them in that order)

The first one makes the best sense. Surtrs main ability the big CLHEAAVVEEEEE in correlation with his stacking is similar to Nasus from League of Legends. His ultimate makes no sense for a fire giant. My opinion on how his ultimate should work should be increase of size but not like Cthulhu and it should scale based on his stacks.

Had an idea for adding morrigan into smite 2. FYI its not balanced but I think its fun. Instead of her ult being the shapeshift its her passive. After she kills an enemy god, she transforms into them for 10 seconds, with all of that gods abilities available for her to use immediately, she keeps her current build, so if she builds tanky and kills kuku, she's playing as tanky kuku. If she builds crit and kills a tank athena, she's now crit athena. She maintains her current health after each kill. So if she kills an enemy while she's at 50% hp, she won't gain any health by transforming. If an ally dies they leave a pool on the ground that she can interact with (with the new interact key) to transform into that dead ally for 10 seconds. Transforming into a dead ally does gift her 20% of her total hp but to balance this transforming into an ally has an internal cooldown of 60 seconds. There is no cooldown on transforming into enemies, meaning if she manages to get a penta kill she would have done so as 4 different gods in the process. I think this gets rid of her current problem which is "morrigan isn't a high skill character because she only needs to transform into a tank, you don't need to know how to play every god to play morrigan" but with this rework it forces the player to know how every god works. Surely implementing this won't be a buggy mess.

going to be honest with you brother as a Morri one trick I would hate this change more than anything, there is a reason I learned how to play every god, it's so i can literally god diff peoples one tricks because I'm just a better player, this would not be fun, I see where you're going with the idea, but honestly I can tell you I would hate this change. but we'll have to see how she plays out in smite 2 :3. TLDR i respect your opinion and honestly seeing how she might change in smite 2 is really interesting, as for me i don't agree with your opinion.

That first change is why I think changing things for balance above all else, makes games boring. You want to change Surtrs ult into a boring "Me press W now. Me win." button, all for the sake of balance proves my point. Surtrs ult may not fit with the rest of his kit, but its super fun and looks cool. Who gives shit that it doesn't fit his style?

i will agree that some of the suggestions in the video are boring or unfeasible. i also really like the look and idea of surtr's ult but its so functionally shit, i avoid using it in game or when i do the payoff is nil. i think there should be some adjustments so it has more synergy with the rest of his kit while not losing what makes it unique. happy medium maybe?

@@dextrosxe Yeah making his ult better with his hit would be cool. Maybe if used during ember walk he flies faster and if he uses it while minion is picked he will stun on land too. His ult is the fun part of his kit. Making it vamana 2.0 kills the best part of kit. They should also make stacking 1 more impactful
