I had applied for a State Govt job last year and i didn't have any hope to even get through the selection process. I was busy working at a private firm with less pay. I am an orphan and was kicked out from my own sister's place at mid night to live on the streets, So I took a room on rent and I was worried if I could survive with a penny for a salary , I was afraid and scared. I had to pay my rent, bills and food , So I had no time to prepare for the job . Few weeks later I received a message saying that I've been selected for the examination and interview. I went there did the examination, cleared it and got through the panel interview aswell. I'm now working there. Its all thanks to God and my parents for blessing me. We should always work hard and have faith in ourselves. Ps:- Idk why am I ranting about my problems here but all I want to say is to NEVER LOSE HOPE AND TO KEEP TRYING.

You have a chance! What's done is done. You still have multiple calls ahead of you! Crack them, ace them! Let go of BLACKI, we can come to it once all interviews are done. Now isn't the time to feel sad. I know, I've been through it too, so I can tell from experience, whatever happens, happens for the best. Just focus on what's ahead of you and crack it

As long as it's a valid bachelor's degree from a proper institute, it doesn't matter. As far as backlogs are concerned, I can't really comment on whether you'd be able to handle MBA or not. I don't know you well 🤷🏻‍♂️

I gave the honest answer - it was Covid that disrupted the market and that one year, searching for a job, fresh out of college (2020 grad) was a struggle that taught me a lot. I turned it into a positive thing in my interview.

Higher the cat % , higher are your chances of cracking a good college. Just remember, you can't change your old grades. Make up for it with good % in Cat

Bro.. I didn’t get call from blackis (yes, including Shillong) with 95/ 95/ 76 acads and 99.36 percentile, being GEM fresher 🙂 i seen even many people with workex didn’t get call from S with similar profile. Dont fix upon one bschool, try getting into the best we can manage to get in

For us it was online. It was a submission, not a timed essay. It wasn't a WAT. So even in the future, it will be like a college essay where you'll probably have a week to submit it (time may vary)

Hey Man! Honestly, if you've decided to crack CAT then instead of targetting B Schools, you should target a 99%. Because you never know when a B School changes its selection criteria and which schools decide to call you for interview. So don't worry about things you can't control. Do your best in CAT, try getting as high a % and then convert the best call you have

Your academics are a part of your past. You cannot change them and so do not spend another second worrying about the past (your acads) Every second you waste worrying about your acads is a second you could have used to study for CAT and increase your % But lastly, 8/7/8 is not low acads! It's pretty decent. I know people at IIMs with a 6 in either 10/12/grad so if they can do it, so can you

We paid 23lacs as fees for a 2 year PGP. This includes everything from hostel to food to tution to books. Fees change from year to year depending on the administration.
