I have always wanted to try out an inflatable boat so I chose the Seaeagle paddleski 437ps. It's a kayak, paddle board and micro skiff all wrapped up in one. Made to carry up to two people and is easy to store and transport. Best part is no truck, trailer or roof rack required to reach your destination to the water with this boat. I forgot to mention that you can also add up to a 6 hp outboard or electric trolling motor to its removable transom. I'll provide a future update as well as any future modifications once I've put sufficient time and use in on this boat.

Enjoy it. Love mine. I got the 437ps towards the end of the season last year, but I've been a huge fan of the Paddleski for over 10 years. I have two of the previous models also. I use a Torqeedo 1003s motor, a full sail rig, and I paddle as a kayak too. I haven't fished in decades. Great sight seeing boat for us, and it travels in our sedan's trunk.

Thanks for sharing! Looks like you have a great setup with the torqeedo. I'm hoping this inflatable will work out to be a good setup for me in the long run. Time will surely tell but in the meantime I can say I'm excited to eventually get it out on the water and put it through its paces. 😊👍

Have you considered the 7” pedestal stand for your swivel seat? May be too high?

Hello dear friends, this boat has a fantastic image, thanks for sharing your experience. I am interested in buying one of these but I have some doubts about it. I need to know if the construction of the boat is good and if the materials used, such as 1100 Decitex, are durable and repairable. Waiting for an answer, greetings and thanks.

Hi Roberto! I have two 2011 hobie i9s inflatable kayaks made of 1000-Denier PVC. They are 11 years old now and still look and work great. I've had to glue some accessories on and it was very easy to do just like doing a leak repair. I've read that PVC inflatable have a shelf life of approximately 3 years which is why I assume the warranties are for 3 years but if you properly maintain and care for your inflatable then it could last for many more years. I found the following information online about the sea eagle that convinced me to make the purchase for the Paddleski 437ps - otterbeeoutdoors.com/what-hull-materials-are-used-in-sea-eagle-boats I hope this info helps you out. 😊👍

Great vids, hey I noticed ? same motor that you used on hobie..is it long shaft. if not, do you think a long shaft outboard could work with this craft?
@FFHTV
@FFHTV Жыл бұрын
Thanks Howard B! My outboard is a short shaft as recommended by Seaeagle. If a long shaft is what you have available to use then I would say that yes, in my opinion, it would work but may lack in performance and will be limited on how shallow of a depth that you can run the boat in. 😊👍

How did you make your transom wheel bar? Also, did you consider a Kaboat by Saturn? I'm looking at both and trying to determine which is a better buy and boat.
@FFHTV
@FFHTV 2 жыл бұрын
Hi Marcia! I will be making a video soon on how I made the wheel bar. This particular wheel bar I made also allows me to use beach wheels when necessary. Yes, I checked out the Kaboat models by Saturn but chose the Seaeagle 437ps primarily for its tunnel hull design and ease to inflate and quickly get out on the water. 😊👍

I have the 437 as well. I put a Yamaha 4HP short staff and rigged up a mni-"lean bar" on the bow yok. I like your lean bar a lot! Do you roll the boat up with the transom and yok bar still attached?
@FFHTV
@FFHTV 2 жыл бұрын
Hi Maribeth! Thanks for sharing! I like to stand up a lot when ever possible so a stand assist bar for me is a definite plus to have. I'm currently considering the 6hp Suzuki but first I want to see how it does with the 2.5hp that I currently own. Yes, I absolutely roll up the boat with the transom and bow bar attached. The original seaeagle bag does not work out for me when rolling it up this way (does not cover it like it should) but the new bag that I got (the Seamax Carry Bag which I highly recommend) is absolutely awesome for transporting or storing the 437 away with almost all its accessories.

@FFHTV
@FFHTV 10 ай бұрын
Hi Brian! To just stand up in calm waters, no, you don't really need a support bar but if you want to motor around while standing or you are in choppy waters then I would say - yes.

Hi ALIN and thanks! The support bar is based off of a medical walker that I purchased at a goodwill for four dollars. I will be posting a video in the near future on that build if I see there is enough interest in it. 😊👍

What's the weight of the paddleski when folded with transom and accessories in your new Style-A bag? I currently own 4 inflatable kayaks and two inflatable boats.. would love to downsize to this combined setup as the boats are too heavy/awkward to setup/takedown everytime and the kayaks dont have any propulsion other than the paddles, so dont cover as much distance.. thanks

Im looking at same boat. What kinda speed do you get with the 2.5hp motor? I've owned 2 different sea eagle boats and loved them both. Currently using the 385fta fishing kayak with 30lb minn kota absolutely love the boat I have the 360° swivel seat on it. I'm looking at the 437ps so I can take another person out fishing comfortably and with the gas motor cover more territory. Good luck with the 437ps.

Hi Mike! I haven't had it out on the water yet but I would suspect that the 2.5 would push it along around 6mph with one person on board. That's what I got when I had it mounted on my kayak so I'm assuming it will be similar or it may turn out to be a little quicker due to the tunnel hull design of the Seaeagle needing to displace less water than the kayak. I'm not a fan of the 360° locking swivel base that the seaeagle seats came with so I already went ahead and swapped them out for the free spinning 360° swivel bases. 😊👍
@finkster1969
@finkster1969 2 жыл бұрын
Thanks I'm thinking it should be faster than that also. Funny you mentioned the locking swivel seat as that turned me off. I was going to ask for the free spinning seats before purchasing and if they won't do it I won't purchase the boat.
@finkster1969
@finkster1969 2 жыл бұрын
You mentioned you switched to free spinning/non locking seats? I have a good idea how but sea eagle told me there was no other option that could be used? How did you do this? Thanks
@FFHTV
@FFHTV 2 жыл бұрын
I believe what they are trying to tell you is that the vendor they purchase the seats from come set up that way with the lockable swivels and there is no way they can change that. I've changed out both of mine, no issues at all. I purchased my swivels from Walmart as they are virtually the same swivel as the lockable ones. I have also added a 7" pedestal to one of my seats just to see how that will work out sitting up a little taller off the floor. www.walmart.com/ip/Springfield-Marine-Non-Locking-Swivel-for-Boat-Seats-Four-Hole-Mounting-Pattern-6-75/807959118
