Thanks you've put into words why I never really got the apeal of it. Sports are, at their roots, play; and everyone should be able to enjoy them without capital gating them off and stuffing advertisement down our eyes.

It's actually worse now. Billionaires like Paul Allen use their influence to get the communities that host their teams to subsidize them by paying for where their teams play.
