I know that God had me meet Bishop not just to get a signed copy of his book but to witness humility at its finest. It was an experience that I will never forget. I absolutely love the knowledge and wisdom that Bishop so freely shares. This interview will be on repeat for me. Also, congratulations sir on your new endeavors.

Yes, I view Bishop as a life teacher & business model and mentor. I don’t really place him in the category as a preacher or minister. Because I grew up in and around preachers and none of them has ever impacted my life in a practical manner. Where I could feed from what they have spoken and utilize it tangibly and apply it in my life realistically! Bishop opens his mouth and I believe that I not only have something to offer this world but that I can actually reach and obtain! He makes you want to dig inside out and make things happen!

But Jakes really IS a licensed preacher and he IS an ordained minister in obedience to what God called him to be. I think I know what you’re getting at. May I suggest (not in a snarky internet way, in a food for thought way) Maybe don’t allow those preachers you grew up with to hold the global definition of what a preacher looks like. And trust me someone listens to even them and thinks they’re the dopest thing ever 😂 I feel like God diversifies his preacher portfolio to fit all kinds of people. ❤

I liked the story tdjakes talked about the man he hired thinking wanted the position most but quit because he really wanted more time with him like a mentor. Probably could get a job somewhere else but glad to get to work with tdjakes anyway. I spend so much time at church I got to be close because there is always something happening at church whether I’m a position or importantly worshipping. That was my point after work and divorce even though the sets needs work too. They have budget to get it done.
