I do love the hymns that you sing! Since childhood we used to sing those lovely songs, words with deep meaning. And then too, God gifted you with a special voice. Praise God!

I really appreciated Michael's encouragement to boldly pursue the gifts that God has given us. It's too easy to let them slide to the wayside & miss the chance to be a blessing to others. Please listen to your wife & keep that wonderful music coming! 🙂

I'm a great fan of Michael's hymns renditions. I'm amazed just how God uses his children in very unique and powerful ways when they are surrendered to him. God's blessings brother. My favorite songs are How can I keep from singing and Ninety and Nine.

I found Michael you tube channel 3 months ago, what a blessing this man has been to me. It is the blending and harmony of the many tones and I think what a beautiful world this would be if the whole world gather in small groups each blending their voices to great such harmony.

Thank you for this interview. It was very interesting to listen to Michael talk about why he does what he does. I’ve enjoyed his you tube channel for a few years now and have even learned some new songs from him that I have been able to take to our church and shared with them. Thank you both for you time and work. I have been blessed to be sure. I try to remember something I was taught a while back; it’s not what you do it’s about why you do or who you do it for.

What Michael said around the 28:00 reminds me of what Paul Mays shared with me during our singing session. Thank you for this interview! Acapeldridge is one of the motivations for me as far as using the talents that God has blessed me with and use them for His glory.

The human voice is the purest and most versatile instrument there is. What can be done with the voice, the sounds created and mimicked, cannot be replicated with man-made instruments.

I appreciate your hard work, and so like singing along with you. Would you please consider making a CD breaking down the parts individually? There are a few churches of Christ in my area that would like to learn parts; they just need an instructor.

Singing a capella is not a tradition but a command from God through His inspired Word. He set forth the five acts of worship: meeting on the first day of the week, Sunday, we are to hear the Word, pray, sing songs, hymns & spiritual songs, partake of the Lord's Supper & to cheerfully give just as the first century Christians did. They did not worship with instruments, but raised their voices in song to magnify & glorify their God. ❤

I have been singing accapella since I was very young. I love it and I love how it SPEAKS a message. I have also sang with instrumental back up. A voice that has been trained or was in tune from birth is a wonderful gift. There are some though that have not been blessed with a good voice and they are able to sing a joyful noise to the Lord. Instruments can help many folks to stay in tune. Unfortunately a lot of instruments played these days drown out the song and need to tone it down so the message can be heard and understood. There’s no reason we should be critical of how someone praises our Lord. Let the Lord Himself take care of any criticism that may be due.

Psalm 98:4 Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth, burst into jubilant song with music; 5 make music to the LORD with the harp, with the harp and the sound of singing, 6 with trumpets and the blast of the ram’s horn - shout for joy before the LORD, the King.

Being in my own denomination ( the C of E) is distinctly uncomfortable at the moment. But I find the hymns on this channel, and on a number of others, a real solace.
