A lot of musicians can take some notes. This guy is ridiculously good at his instrument and he's not an arrogant douchebag. He's a humble, nice guy. It makes him that much more likeable. That means longevity. People will still like him decades from now.

Rob is A phenomenal bass player. Don’t get me wrong I love Jason and I wish he could have never have left the band. My very first Metallica concert as a 16-year-old I had a pretty cool moment where Jason pointed out my brother, two of our best friends and myself because Metallica was our favorite band and we were hanging over the balcony headbanging and screaming the lyrics of every song and Jason actually pointed us out and gave us props and to us that was just the coolest thing ever. Jason brought so much energy and personality to Metallica but if we can’t have him I’m so happy we have Robert because the dude is like a mutant plays bases just unreal with the things he can do. And he seems like a class act in just a genuinely good human being on top of that.

@@brianpinion5844 that’s awesome man, and yeah I’ve seen Rob in concert but just not with Metallica. I saw him with Ozzy three times but I’m definitely going to make it a point to see Metallica the next time they tour the United States. They’ve been my favorite band for over 30 years now and they’re approaching their 60s and it’s not like they’re up there playing jazz, metal is probably the most physical music to play in perform especially if you’re gonna go out there two or three hours every night. Because they’re only putting out albums once every eight years now it’s seems I really think the album that comes out later this year is going to be their last and then they’ll probably tour the album for a year and a half and then by that time they’ll all be about 62 years old and I think we’ll probably just see them do a lot of touring but not that much riding. Like they’re on tour right now overseas but they’re just touring because they want to tour it’s not really because they’re touring an album. But I do think at some point after their next album within the next seven or eight years they’re going to announce their retirement. They’re not going to be able to do this once they get to their 70s.
