As a long-term isengard player,I've been wondering from your first game on, why you never split up your ballstae. I did that in every single game to create too many angles for the opponent to worry about. This eventually leads to the perfect angle. So I would advise for it in many games more than just the last. Maybe in some, your approach might be better though. I for sure, like your list and your videos even more!

Thanks very much. I think you're right and your way is better. The reason I play it this way is to remain within 6 inches, so crew can hop between them if needed and in case one is picked off. But I think that is not a worthwhile trade. I will try splitting them next time and see where we get to!

Hey, thanks very much! At this tournament she came along. It was cold so she could hang out in the van. At a previous event she came into the hall with us and sat under the tables. That's the better scenario as she's not left out :) Last week we stayed in a hotel and they wouldn't allow her so she had to stay with my parents. She she gets around!

How was Smeagol able to kill grima? Did you attack with him or did I miss a special rule?

Because he can be attacked normally if deployed as part of Sarumans warband

Recently got some ballistas, struggling with in the ways abit as you dont need direct LOS and technically the bolt would be coming from above, so how would you determine in the ways?

Hey, Ballistas, unlike catapults, do need line of sight and determine their in the ways as normal. They draw the line from the tip of the bolt to the target. Nothing within 6" of the ballista can be targeted or by in the way after the FAQ. Hope that helps!

I played against isengard at Tos clash by moonlight 2 ballista 6 to hit 6 to scatter 6 to wound 5 times in a row gandalf daine and bilbo all gone in 2 rounds so f you ballista lol

For the game against Will Champion at the end. It's hard to tell from the pictures, but could you have tried calling command with Saraman on his important units, like the Spider Queen or the Goblin King to move them further than 3" away from his other units, so you could more easily hit them with your siege weapons?

Sadly the Goblin King had 3 Will, resistant to magic and a tourny specific special rule that gave him an extra resist so it felt a bit futile. He also did quite a lot of bubble wrapping so I couldn't get them out that way.

@@BattleCamperHome that's a shame. TbF after I wrote this comment I had a closer look and I could see Will wrapped him up nicely. Good game tho, I think you were unlucky with some of that later shooting, but perhaps you deserved it for being a filthy casual and taking all those crossbows! 😜

Gwaihir is too expensive for only having 2 attack dice since his nerf, 150 points.. Is there any other model that costs that much that only has 2 attack dice? Forget about the charge, that is easy to fluff, he's too expensive or needs his 3 attack dice back.

Gwaihir is one of the best models in the game, you just need to understand how to use him. Gwaihir isn't there to trade punches turn after turn. You need to use him to control what your opponent does and use him as a scalpel. He's not a brawler.
