One of the Fringe benefits of aging is ability to speak without filtters / be blunt. Very insightful that ones upon a time Nigeria sort after their own abroad, organised interviews for naija work abroad, accommodation, allowances etc for a decent standard of living in Nigeria. Thanks for the insight 👍

Am really sorry for those with no plan to japada.No matter how long you stay in another's country you'll always be a stranger. There's no way you can tell me you've never experience racistism NEVER!!! No matter how intelligent or yr qualification definately you will surely face rejection.This people find you very intimating when you're very intelligent more than them .Most Nigerians are well read ,smart ,intelligent and very good at what we do and that Thank God I made it. really causes alot of emotional abuse which always send most people to mental home.Only loosers will die in another's Country.Am back to Nigeria and I never regret it once.

My parents lived abroad for 15 years, and were programmed to return home. Both were the first in their families to go overseas-my father was the first to travel abroad in his family, and so was my mother. Back then, the entire family would escort you to the ship when you were leaving, as air travel wasn’t common yet. They met each other while living abroad, came back home to marry, and decided to stay.

Again that's why its beneficial and very important to go abroad with a plan e.g having papers. With no papers you will suffer. Im a Nigerian and it was difficult for me back home,but i relocated to the US and i can boast of millions of naira in my accounts,properties,cars. I even send money to people back home.These are probably things i would never have had if i stayed back in Nigeria. I guarantee there are many people like myself. The key remains going abroad with papers.

@proudlyigboSophia 28 күн бұрын
@patricea893 Exactly,having papers opens alot of doors,in most cases like in the US most of the Citizens don't even want to work,so you the Foreigner will capitalize on that and get better jobs and earn a better pay. Moving abroad in my opinion is the best option,just have papers.

The key part of this man's analysis is You do what you want to do as money is not the main ingredient of happiness. I left a paid off beautiful home, a Jaguar and Range Rover in the USA and I am now retired and farming just because that was my passion. I do not need the money from farming but the satisfaction. Do what makes you happy 9:08

@summeraku In the 60s and 70s, mortgage was available for government workers amortized to years of service and Greyhound buses too! Companies like RT Briscoe maintained cars. New VW Beetle, Datsun 120Y, Toyota Corolla, Ford Escape, and Lada(Russian car) were all below N2000! Murtala/Obasanjo started the corruption, IBB escalated and killed Nigeria and the rest of them are just presiding over the undertaking of Nigeria. Baba is bringing back painful memories.

Those coming in have the resources to make it in Nigeria. Those leaving go in search of resources they don’t have in Nigeria. And some of the leavers return once they’ve gathered the resources to build back home. The circumstances of both groups are different, hence the direction of their movement is different.

Long story short if youre not happy were you are no matter the money just get ur peace of mind first... i know some that went nuts loneliness, some suicidal...my bro fell victim everyone at home is just concerned about him getting money to send home till i joined him and saw hs condition & escalated it , he is better now but some damage done already thank God i found out
