It is indeed a sharp line between cheating and not cheating and once the seed has been planted by a man who provokes it, it remains to be seen whether she can resist it or whether she will cheat at the next opportunity. Sometimes a woman can resist temptation and nothing will happen in that marriage, but there are plenty who give in and lose everything when it suits them because they cannot foresee the consequences.

instead of stopping her, he should have made it clear that if she went out that door their marriage was over and she was not to return the next day. now he knows she is uninhibited towards having sex outside of their marriage. he will probably develop ulcers and not enjoy his life because he will be wondering if she is cheating when they are apart or when will she cheat. he should leave her while he is capable of trusting another female.
