Are you a Sephardic Jew? Jar of Fireflies on KZbin (also a convert) is married to a Moroccan Jew and wears a headscarf too (versus a wig, which tends to be worn more by Ashkenazis, to my knowledge). Very cute cat by the way and congrats on your marriage!
