Lyrics: "My Jolly Sailor Bold" (originated 1850s - thank you for the info @CasperFox 🙂) (Bobby 00:03) Upon one summer's morning, I carelessly did stray Down by the Walls of Wapping, where I met a sailor gay Conversing with a young lass, who seemed to be in pain Saying 'William, when you go, I fear you'll ne'er return again' My heart is pierced by Cupid I disdain all glittering gold There is nothing can console me But my jolly sailor bold (Tomi 01:05) His hair it hangs in ringlets, his eyes as black as coal My happiness attend him wherever he may go From Tower Hill to Blackwall, I'll wander, weep and moan All for my jolly sailor, until he sails home My heart is pierced by Cupid I disdain all glittering gold There is nothing can console me But my jolly sailor bold (Peter 02:02) My father is a merchant The truth I now will tell And in great London City In opulence doth dwell. His fortune doth exceed 300,000 gold And he frowns upon his daughter Who loves a sailor bold. (tutti 02:38) My heart is pierced by Cupid I disdain all glittering gold There is nothing can console me But my jolly sailor bold. (Marwan 02:57) My name it is Maria, a merchant's daughter fair And I have left my parents and three thousand pounds a year While up aloft in storm From me his absence mourn And firmly pray arrive the day He safely will return. (interesting turn in the lyrics here, which explains the eye brows at 03:33) (tutti 03:38) Come all you pretty fair maids, whoever you may be Who love a jolly sailor bold that ploughs the raging sea My heart is pierced by Cupid I disdain all glittering gold There is nothing can console me But my jolly sailor bold

Thanks! Shiver me timbers! This is one epic cover! Not only is the arrangement outstanding but so is the video editing! I love the special effects! I was NOT prepared for Bobby’s subterranean note at the very beginning! It caught me totally off guard! And just when I thought it was safe for me to come back up from under the earth, Tomi decides to drop an atomic bomb out of nowhere! That’s what made this cover even more eerily fascinating! I could never predict when the next big drop was going to happen, which had me on the edge of my seat the entire time, lol. It just amazes me how you all are able to sing so deep and so high at the same time! If I was only listening to the audio of this song and did not know anything about The Bass Gang, I would never guess that those same deep voices were singing those high parts as well! That is truly remarkable! All in all, you all sounded so amazing, and you all blended very well! I give this cover one million out of five stars! Until Next Time, May The Bass Be With You, Mateys! P.S. I was so excited to see the lamp make a final cameo! I was not expecting that all! Do I sense a sequel? LOL, just kidding!

@@elmersglue900 No worries! Your comment did not come off as rude at all! I totally understood what you were trying to say! I purposely used the word “subterranean,” which means “existing, occurring, or done under the earth's surface.” When I described Bobby’s low note as “subterranean,” I was essentially saying that his note was so low that it was under the earth's surface, lol. What? No, I don't want this to be already over! Nothing ever felt "too short" as much as this one! This just officially kicked "Be prepared" to second place in my playlist of TBG favourites. I love Bobby's intro as well as the harmony between him and Tommy in the beginning. I'm very much looking forward to Peter explaining in his reaction who sang which part, especially the really high ones. The backgrounds with the forest were really cool, too, as they almost made me forget you're not in the same place. Also, the lamp that contained Marwan in Vol 3 is back, and I'm excited to see if this is going anywhere. After all, with the previous one having been arranged by someone else and this one by Bobby, there might be three more songs to come arranged by each of the other three respectively...
