Hey, I just wanted to say thank you, because about a year ago I watched this video and because of you and your journals I started journaling back then. Now I could not imagine my life without it. It helped me to get through a really tough time. Writing about my thoughts and feelings gives me freedom, strenght and confidence. So thank you. You are amazing 💛

I really like what you said about how helpful it is to write down your feelings when suffering from depression or anxiety but my issue is that I have this constant fear that someone will read my journal and I'd feel extremely awkward and uncomfortable with people doing that
@mokshapatil47858 жыл бұрын
Well I don't really fear of writing down my feelings on my journal, but sometimes I have to write down something really confidential in my journal... so I came up with a solution that is to develop my own code language... which is just known to me... so you can try making your own code language and writing your whole journal in that code language... so even if anyone reads it, that person wont be able make any sense of what you have written.:)

I know this is a late reply, but I just saw your comment. There's actually a great website that you can use to journal, which is 750words.com/. I haven't used it personally but I've seen it mentioned in many journaling videos, and might help with your current situation. I hope this helps, and good luck :)

I have bad anxiety myself so I can relate to what you are saying. I used to confide in my Uncle all the time, but he passed in early 2012. So in October 2012, I decided to keep a journal and have never looked back. I am about to start journal 58 and I fill them with anything and everything that I can think of. Love your video and keep up the progress!

I totally relate with feeling like I have to make it perfect and being bad at being artistic etc except from writing and trying to get over the idea of it,so seeing you having gotten over it inspires me.Also you've inspired me to start journaling!I could never be consistent enough to write a diary so I just have a memory jar and write small notes which is very therapeutic and makes me really happy but it's still just small pretty quick notes in which you can't write much so I'd like to journal and write more but I'm afraid it might take too much time and I won't be able to be very consistent.The good thing is in summer I'll surely have more free time and will be more in the mood to do stuff like that but still if anyone has any tips it would be quite helpful!💕Anyways,great video as always!💗

I just found your channel and immediately clicked the subscription box! I have also journaled off and on starting from middle school and now through college. I haven't done it in awhile, but I have been meaning to get back into it, because like you said it is very therapeutic. After watching this video I am totally going to pick up journaling again.

Another lifetime journal! Yeah I've been journaling since about 3rd grade but it became very serious in high school, as a way for me to destress and let out all my thoughts and feelings.

I have been journaling since my 13th birthday. Now I am almost 15 and I have gone through almost 3 full journals. before I thought I had to do it a certain way and I had it all planed out but lately I have just torn my 3rd journal apart with pictures words prayers quotes and random things. now that I have let my mind fly freely it had really helped me the way it is supposed to. I got not love it more!

Aah! Every time I see journal videos, I always get the pressing urge to do one too!! I've tried a few times, but then I'll skip a few days, feel guilty, skip a week or two, feel guilty, and stop. I do have a journal for to-do and shopping lists, one for videos, and one for anxiety/depression reflections (which hasn't been needed much this semester, but as I'm sure you know, that could change any day!). However, I would really like to do a more inspirational art/quote/memories journal, since all of my current ones serve organizational and coping purposes. I would love to see a video of your art journal to give me that extra push XD
@BooksAndWhimsicals8 жыл бұрын
I used to feel super guilty too, but then I realized that it's MY journal and it's okay if I skip a day or forget to write for a couple days, because it's a hobby not a job! You should definitely try it :))

Just saw your video on Journalling thank you. I have 3 or 4 that I have that I have not finished writing in yet. There are 2 that have stories started in them. One I think I am going to use as a writing journal because the story that was started in it is not working so I can turn the tide and use it as my writing journal for this upcoming year. I wanted one where I could write notes and Ideas I have been having and have had no place to sore them, I do now then when the story unfolds more that is currently in there I can find another place to put it. I do want to complete the others that still have pages empty- just because as a writer they need to be written in, lol . keep up the good work with your writing.

This is a wonderful video! I have a notebook that I put in quotes and inspirational type of stuff and a lot of different notebooks for planning/lists/etc. Otherwise I've only been a journaler sporadically, I think what generally puts me off is not really liking my own voice as a writer if that makes sense? But maybe it's a case, the same as you with your art journal, of needing to get over the idea of it being perfect and reminding myself that no one else will see it. You've totally inspired me to try journaling and art journaling and smash booking hahaha. Thank you :D xx
@BooksAndWhimsicals8 жыл бұрын
I totally understand what you mean about not liking your own voice! I feel like most writers have a hard time liking their own work, and it's just a matter of letting go! Omg I'm so glad I inspired you :)

i think what stops me from journaling is holding myself back from writing down certain things. how do i get rid of this fear so i can journal again?
@BooksAndWhimsicals8 жыл бұрын
I just remind myself that it's just words on paper; it's just ink and paper and no one will see it except me and whomever I want to see it. It's really about exposing yourself through your writing but realizing that through this you're really healing yourself. It's so so hard and I still avoid writing down the hard stuff sometimes, but the hard stuff makes for the best art. I hope that helped a little :)

I have the exact same "There is nothing like a dream to create the future" journal! I used it as a personal journal though. for me, I like the just writing type thing, but sometimes I want to add doodles and stuff, but I feel like its too, idk, too messy maybe?
@BooksAndWhimsicals8 жыл бұрын
I kinda started out that way too, which is why I have so many different journals so that it's still kinda organized! Like the art one, I had to convince myself that it's okay for it to be messy and ugly, because it's for inspiration not to show off!
