I’m about to celebrate 62yrs and live in the southern USA. You are living the dream I’ve always longed for. Thank you so very much for your tutorials and inspiration! Some 35 yrs ago, I started smocking and French machine sewing for my children. It was the most enjoyable time! I adore design and home decor but my favorite is sewing. I so hope I can follow your advice and find the right mentor for me! Much love from the Gulf Coast! ⛵️🏝️💚

@@ayseberry7494 what is your story lovely?
@ayseberry74944 күн бұрын
@@olgakott7 My mother was also a tailor. I learnt sewing from her. We had an old cast iron Singer sewing machine. The rest was all done by hand. I was her help for drawing patterns from Burda, overcasting and making the button holes. I used to make clothes for my doll, then myself and friends. Like you, I had to have a proper career and started to work in offices with my mind in textiles and hand crafts. I used to knit my sweaters and winter scarves and beanies for friends. I moved to England in 1994, studied Business Administration and worked in the financial sector by spending my spare time around fabric shops (all closed now), antique shops and flea markets. Now, I want to have a small clothing line business but lack confidence and utterly terrified. It feels very emotional.

@@ayseberry7494our stories are very similar! And I also used Burda magazines 😅. It sounds like a big change for you. I can imagine how emotional it is and you must be full of worries. But life is too short to worry all the time and even not try to make your dream come true
